In that case I'd probably be known more as a Korean fanboy. [emoji28]

But we do have both Koreans and Toyotas. And while the Koreans offer lots of power, reliability definitely goes to the Toyotas. Yes, even the Japan surplus, converted Toyota!

It's great that Toyota can rest on its laurels from its history of reliability. Sadly, evolving regulations, programmed obsolescence...& CVTs are the new reality. No one builds like they used to anymore.

My 10th gen Altis is indestructible. Even better than my AE101

Can't blame me for being a Toyota fan. My family can buy other brands but I'm sticking to Toyota.

So basically almost everyone praising Toyota for reliability haven't really tried long term with other brands?

Yeah, we'll see how Toyota's CVT will hold up considering there are some recalls...

I have. My first car was a Lancer.

BTT: On the question, I'd get the Fortuner.

    BTT:

They will all last 10yrs it will depend on how you maintain. They are all reliable, it depends on how you use.

Nothing beats the smell of a brand-new vehicle.

Ano pala yung old car TS, if imay ask?

Of course they can, but even if they can afford it, I wonder how anyone can explain the recall of some Corolla CVTs... as I said, we'll see. After all, its still CVT...

Yeah but there shouldn’t have been any issues in the first place since they can afford “reliability testing” and they carry the legendary “toyota reliability” title.

There are bad CVTs, like the Jatco ones & there are better ones....but however the spin...w/ the way they are built, CVTs are unrebuildable, pricier to maintain & unlikely to outlast regular ATs. They're good while warranty lasts.[emoji4]
