Hey guys what are the main differences between the 2015 and 2016 models of CR-V, CX-5, and Forester XT?

Asking this because may nakikita akong 2015 and 2016 models ng CR-V, 60-80k difference sa price, but almost the same mileage.

Older cars are cheaper than newer cars ... nothing surprising there ... just common sense ...

Or could be mid cycle facelift ... usually they fixed a few bugs here and there and improve a little here and there ... better to buy facelifted models ...

Reason why I asked is if there's significant improvement in the 2016 models compared to the 2015 then I might consider getting the newer for a 70k difference

Also there might be issues about a specific year-model (which obviously I have no idea about) that the experts and fanatics here know that I can take into consideration when deciding

Of course if there's no notable difference between the two, then that's the time common sense will apply

Yeah but not all year models they have reviewed and also the reviews are mostly created within the same year its released. Would be great to hear from the guys here who either have owned and used the car for several years already or are just really knowledgeable about the car

You also wont get a lot from the comments section because many of them are trolling and off-topic posts

OT This hits close to home! We're not well off but we had to downgrade our lifestyle when we suffered financially in the late 90s and it just keeps getting worse It was so bad we had to close businesses and let go of cars. It's like a downward spiral. We are now selling what properties we have left.

Whenever I complain about how hard our life has become, my Mom would say that we are still lucky compared to homeless people and it really pisses me off. I would argue that we were never homeless so that's not a valid comparison. Ang issue dito yung downgrade sa lifestyle namin. Mas masaya pa nga mga homeless samin kasi sila malaking pamilya, kami iilan ilan na nga lang nagaway away pa My brother will not be able to survive our lifestyle now because he was used to getting everything he wanted. Kaya totoo yung be kind to everyone because you don't know what battle they are facing...

Easier to appreciate what you have when you're looking down vs up. For me we can be both happy but at the same time, not content with whatever we have. Being content can make you lazy. Personally as long as I put the work in, and there are results, I'm happy. Have to admit it is tougher these days.

A rich friend of mine was opening a hotel business in 2019. Obviously all the investments went to naught and the project was scrapped in 2020, so they lost a few million there. But they’re still wealthy AF and simply pivoted to other lines of business, and in total, they’re wealthier now than they were pre-pandemic.

Another friend of mine, yung dad yung breadwinner ng family, working as ground crew for the airline industry for over 20 years. Enter COVID, massive layoffs. Now my friend who was barely able to make ends meet for her own personal finances now has to be the breadwinner for her parents and her 3 siblings. Dad cannot find a job anymore because he’s too old and retrenchment payment is indefinitely delayed.

We’re all in the same rough seas but in different boats. And when the waves are too strong, it’s much better to be in a yacht than in a motorized banca.

The 2015 CR-V was facelifted with some minor upgrades. The 2015 model you saw might be a 2014 model sold in 2015.

Exactly and this is why I argue with my Mom na hindi valid yung compare with homeless people to know that you are still lucky

Example na lang my Mom's HS classmate who was used to living in a 1000+ sq m home in Makati, when her Mom died her siblings decided to sell their family home where she lived with her Mom. Her share was not enough to buy a house in the same village. She did not want to be uprooted so she decided to buy a condo near her old home and she complains about how she has to live in a much smaller place. Nakaka awa naman talaga, she's in her 70s and should not be going through such a big change. Dami ko pa alam na similar cases but that was the most recent and I felt so bad for. Closest would be my Tita (Dad's sister) from country club housewife to renting. I probably would have killed myself if that happened to me, she's so strong.

BTT: If I were to choose it's gonna be CRV or Rav4 only

The 2015 CR-V was facelifted with some minor upgrades. The 2015 model you saw might be a 2014 model sold in 2015.

For the Forester XT, no difference between the 2015 and the early 2016 models. They differ from the 2013-2014 models as they have a touch screen head unit, an updated center menu, and a rake antenna.

The later 2016 model has new rims, colored center dash menu, and an updated center menu. The 2017-2018 models come with steering-adaptive projector headlights already.
