HELP : Car Registration

guys, this will be my first time to register my car (may naglalakad dati) by myself. I have some ideas on what I have to do first tama ba ang mga ito ?

1. Get a TPL insurance (any car insurance agency pwede di ba?)
2. Have my car tested for emission (pwede naman to kahit saan basta accredited by LTO right ?)
3. GO to the LTO branch where my car is registered (its registered in LTO makati, san ba yon?), with the TPL, Emission test results,
xerox copy of OR/CR, original OR of last year reg.
4. Once in LTO take it from there...kung paano man yun procedures, stencil etc.....

Lastly how much pa register for a 1995 1300 model car. thanks

papastencil mo pa ata yung chassis number ng car. also, alam ko may mga tumatambay ng mga taga-insurance sa LTO, pwede mo ng bayaran don yung TPL mo. make sure lang na legit sila dahil maraming nanggogoyo eh.

mga around 1,300 ang registration + 300 sa smoke emission + 600 for insurance.

kung bagsak sa emission another 150 for you.hassle sobra kung bumagsak sa emission.

imagine yun nissan namin na 1996 model - bagsak ba naman sa emission kaya dinala ko pa sa mekaniko para lang may i adjust.

thanks for the input guys, I was able to get some info from LTO's website (www.lto.gov.ph). Isang problem ko na lang is yung pag-stencil ng engine & chassis number. As per LTO website pwede ko print yung form from their website, pagdating sa lto sino ba magstencil don LTO personnel or mga fixer?

wag mo pansinin yun mga fixer, dun ka lumapit sa mga legit na tiga-stencil may uniform mga yun at may ID. sila na rin magtuturo sa iyo kun san ka bibili ng TPL. kahit saan LTO pwede ka pa-register may charge pag change venue ka 50 petot ata.

1. magpa emissions test ka BEFORE you go to LTO. the emmission test has a 60day validity period, i think. P300 cost nito.

2. when you go to LTO, ung mga taga stencils dun, padating ka pa lang, amoy ka na nila. pag nakita nila plate no. mo, maguunahan sila sayo, kasi may commission sila sa TPL insurance companies. to be honest, next-to-useless ang TPL insurance e. requirement lang to ng LTO para mka register ka. some/most of these TPL companies are fly-by-nights. pabayaan mo ng mag stencil ung lalapit sayo, bantayan mo na lang. after stenciling, dadalhin ka sa "office" nila para i-type ung paperworks.

3. after TPL, dadalhin ka na nung lalake sa correct window ng LTO para sa registration mo. pag naibigay na sa window ung papers mo, dun na nag end ung "service" nung stencil-boy, bigyan mo na lang ng tip.

4. hintayim no na lang tawagin ung name mo, para magbayad ka. last registration ko ng 1.6 VTi ko, total about P2000. pansin ko, every year, tumataas by about P300 registration ko.

5. sa las pinas, mabilis lang ang process. last year, 2hours lang, tapos ko na.

6. you can go to ANY LTO office. if different from previous LTO office ang puntahan mo, magbabayad ka lang ng P100 for transfer of venue.

ano pa ba.. this week na din ako magpaparegister e.. btw, before you go, i'm not sure kung kailangan ng mga xerox, but to be sure, pa xerox mo OR/CR mo na din. hassle mag pa xerox sa LTO, pabalik balik ka.

kakatapos ko lang mag register kanina. considering na last day of registration for EP 4, madali at mabilis lang ung process. in and out ako ng LTO in about 1hour.

pag pasok ko pa lang sa gate ng las pinas city hall, my sumalubong na agad na stencil-boy. stencil nya car ko, then dinala nya ko sa booth ng TPL insurance nila. i paid P610 for TPL and P2100 para sa LTO, for 97VTi. nagdagdag lang ako P100 para sila na bahal magpasok sa LTO nung papers. hintay lang ako sa tapat ng office nila. 1hour later, kuha ko na mga stickers ko. uwi na ko.

kailangan ba sa designated month at week ka pa-register?

e.g. XXX765, dba po month 2nd week of May e2. kailangan ba 2nd week of may ako pa-register o pde advance?

Mas maganda kung magpaparehistro ka ng mas maaga, even before the month of May. Para maiwasan ang rush at mahahabang pila. Ganun din naman aabutin ang expiration next year. Wag mo lang palalampasin sa month ng May kundi may penalty na agad.

sabi sakin nung stencil-boy kanina, this year na lang daw ung may penalty for late registration. next year, wala na daw penalty. di ko alam kung totoo to..
