February 23rd, 2003 08:39 AM #2Isuzu in general are very good....so a 2nd hand commands a higher price (a friend of mine sold his 2nd hand fuego (4x2) na all-power at P410K pa...actually 3rd hand na kasi 2nd hand nya ito nakuha and it was about 4 or 5 yrs old na).
A first gen strada (4x4 ang strada unless your talking about 4x2 L200) is still around P300-P400K range na rin. L200 is in the P180-250K range naman.
Between the 2 pick-up mas okay ang isuzu due to 3 reasons - isuzu fuego are roomier (lalo na sa likod na upuan) than strada, para itong car and the other reason is mas softer din ang ride sa fuego than strada generally (although factor din ito ng type ng gulong, tire pressure)....imho it is softer in ride because the leaf-springs at the rear of the fuego ay longer or better than stradas. the 3rd reason is that masmausok or madaling maging mausok ang engine ng strada than fuego.
The AUV versions (crosswind/hilander or adventure) would be a different league to the pick-up...I dont have 1st hand info on this two....but I would choose the AUV if I'm sure I wont be hauling big equipments.
The terrano is an entirely different league, the front and rear suspension are like that of a car plus its a 4x4. It is like an improved AUV. You also can not haul big loads with it. The 2.7L diesel generally consumes more fuel than the other (kasi 2.5L diesel lang ang ibang choices mo)....although depende ito sa driving habit mo.
So if you could define your needs and priorities mas madali mong maievaluate what you need:
Gas Milelage ba?
Suspension/ride comfort ba?
Leg room or spaciousness ba?
Hauling capability ba?
Off-roading capability ba?
o Budget constraints?
my 2 cents.

Like wildthing I would also suggest the fuego for a 2nd hand daily vehicle. Mas matipid sa fuel.

February 28th, 2003 07:25 PM #4I would get the Isuzu fuego because of its Engine and it reliability.
Between the 2 AUV's i would ge thr Isuzu if it is the crosswind model becuse of it's style and performance. But i would get the Adventure if it is between the Old bodied Hi-lander because of its car like features.
But I would get the Terrano too because of it's size and it's an SUV you also get 4x4 system and I also has a good ride and features. but i find the engine a little underpowered lang nga.

I'd go for an Isuzu Fuego or Nissan Frontier for the pick-up choices.
The Terrano is also a good reliable vehicle. Too bad we got the lower end engine choices here when it comes to speed and performance, but nevertheless they are reliable... it'd be nice to put in a QD32 diesel engine though (like the ones in the auctioned Terranos).
Just take a good look at the underchassis closely since pick-ups are usually used as workhorse so the suspension, tranny, and other bits and pieces are vulnerable to abuse. When ever you buy a second hand car, have it lifted in a gas station for some inspection, you'll be surprised on how much you can miss on its actual condition.

Anong Chinese brand na ba ang available sa market? Yung Leoch brand may nakita na ko post sa FB....
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
