Which variant do you have? IMHO only do that if you really, really like the Explorer.

Yung non VNT pa? Mataas kasi resale value ng Fort, at napakadaling ibenta. Same cannot be said for the Explorer, which is more of a "for keeps" vehicle.

Personally, if you plan on selling again in the next few years, I'd suggest you level up and get the 4x4 Fortuner.

How much is the budget by the way?

Is the 1.3M inclusive already of the selling price of your old Fort? IMHO brand new nalang kunin mo. Less headaches na rin. Base model na midsize SUV or top of the line Innova dagdag lang ng konti pasok na.

Have you owned a big gas-powered vehicle before? If not, please do check the fuel consumption and maintenance cost of a big gas-powered SUV like the Explorer.

However, ride and comfort of the Explorer will be much better than the Fortuner. If you're willing to trade fuel expense for comfort, then go ahead with the Explorer.

Only if you need a bigger space and a much better ride. The 2.0L can only do 6.8Km/L mix.

6+ km/L from a 2.0L turbo gas doing 240hp/360Nm and lots of space for 7 people is acceptable. It is much quicker and faster also compared to the Fortuner.

How about a Pajero instead? Maybe you can get a used 2010-2012 Pajero diesel around that price.

Take note that it is mixed driving though. I honestly doubt it can do 5-6 in pure city driving.

As mentioned, I'd suggest springing for the 4x4 variant, or perhaps a Montero GTV, and spend the rest on mods. [emoji38]
