Hi guys! need to know your inputs on this one.

My friend is selling her Ford Ecosport 2015 Manual Transmission color black, she posted it for 385K but she's willing to sell it to me for just 300K since we've been close friends since elementary. Just want to make sure if this is the problematic ecosport or not cause i see reviews saying that the problematic ones are mostly ATs but not MTs.

Here are details of the car tho

    year: 2015
    color: black
    mileage: 52,727 (as of 05/13/2022)
    -ceramic coated
    -shell seats leather seats
    all stock

parts replaced on last tune up ( 03/24/2022)
    brake pads - bendix
    drive belt - AC delco
    change oil - motorcraft 5w-30
    battery - amaron (changed 12/03/2021)
tires front pair - yokohama (changed 02/13/2021)
tires rear pair - yokohama (changed 04/23/2020)

car is very smooth and no visible scratches, owner is a girl na clean freak so i guess that's the reason why. i really think this is a good buy, just want to make sure about the tranmission problems that i might face in the future.

    help me decide guys

    Thanks!

    better have the car inspected.

car mechanic for used car inspection

its a Manual, I personally don't see any major issues with it in the next 3 years (it will turn 10 in 2025)

did she ever change the car's clutch disk?

open the rear then pull off the rubber seal just above the rear bumper. check if there's a lot of rust in there

strange that they replaced brake pads so early

my ecosport is m/t also so no transmission issues

thanks for this! will check the car on the weekend, but i positively think that it's well taken cared of. knowing it's parked in covered carage and it's ceramic coated

No issues sa Ecosport MT models, scary yung sa DCT models.

If you live within Paranaque area, just bring the car over to FordMaz.

Went to Manila and borrowed my relative's ecosport. The DCT shudders and makes me headbang everytime I stop and accelerate. 😂

Irritating nga yan dct nila... nanginginig sa 2nd gear.. parang baguhan na driver tapos mainit na clutch.. hehe

Actually pag naka full stop ka, nag disengage yan dct ng ecosport.. kaya pag bitaw mo ng brake may slight delay then tapak gas.. ayun.. mag shudder yan

When I had the Fiesta before, I drove it like an MT in low crawl traffic or low speeds. You have the feel that DCT switching back and forth in between 1st and 2nd gears. Medyo modulated yung gas pedal. Once you get to 3rd gear and higher, oks na sya.

Of all the small SUVs out there, the Ecosport still gets my design nod. Maybe it's because of the spare tire that hangs from the back.

Too bad it is a legacy model already but still looks good.

    personally,
i do not like spare tyres visibly hanging at the rear.
i prefer them tucked out of sight...

Among the small crossovers, the Ecosport is the one with the best ground clearance and water wading capability with the exception of the Jimny 4x4.

while looking in the engine bay i found a little plastic thing w/ hose that goes into the tranmission. googled the part number, yeah it's a high mounted breather

another thing w/ the ecosport is the thick chassis. this guy hangs a full size dirt bike off the back. you can't do this on a Raize
