I see. Maybe that's why I can't find any reference. I guess I am stuck with their repo car listings.

I know someone who got his vios from eastwest. The rates were roughly 26.23% 4 years term. So around 6.56% per annum. Are the figures makatao compared to other options? What do you think?

I'm not updated w/ current rates here, but that seems really high. I was just discussing w/ a bud in the US who just got approved for less than 5% over the entire 6yrs & he was ranting how rates have risen.[emoji13]

Last time I checked, about less than a year maybe, there are rates published in the bpi website for both brand new and second hand, it also has a calculator, I assume you can use them to finance a 2nd hand car from another seller. And yes, the rates are higher but don't know how they compare with EW

"If the unit's mileage is Zero there is a high probability that the units is total wreck vise-versa."

Sanay sila sa inquiry about the zero. Mileage car at yung sobra baba na price. Dun nila nalalaman kung first time mo tumingin ng mga repossessed car.

Surprisingly, natuwa ako maghanap ng used car sa eastwest. Mura eh.

Yeah first timer din kami.

I'm planning to acquire repossessed car from Eastwest Bank considering na mas mura mga units nila compared to other banks.

Unit po is 2017 model with 25,000 mileage.
Okay po ba to or bad choice?

    Thank you po sa sasagot.

    that depends.
is it an altis V, or is it a MT wigo?
    heh heh.

then there is the mortgage release fee. ask about it, as "it ain't really that cheap sometimes".
also, inquire if the car might be part of a collateral of sorts, as the previous owner still has debts to pay the bank. i know it is obvious, but hey! so's we can truthfully say, "...i asked, and you said 'no' "...

lastly, this is a bank, po. they make no claims at all regarding the condition of the vehicle. strictly "as is, where is" po yan. if a part breaks in two as you drive the first 5 meters out of their bodega, "you own both pieces" is all they can say..

    good luck.

the managers inside the airconditioned bank have no idea regarding the cars' conditions.
befriend the mekanikos that tend or look over them. they are the people in the know.
to re-iterate, unless written on paper and properly documented, banks' auctions offer no warranty of any type.
    good luck.

I’m also planning on checking out some repossessed car units from Eastwest Bank. But can I bring my own mechanic? Do they allow test drives? Or do they allow that we start the engines for checking?

you can bring your mechanic, but the things you are allowed to do with the car are "limited".
in some instances, the battery is so dead, you can't even check if the busina works.
    "as is-where is" condition, literally.

    my thoughts are,
go and see how much kutingting they will allow you, po.
