Still hoping I can find a good used Hino300.

How is the updated L300? Better naman sa luma? Or save for the power unit same pa rin? This still has that steering column mounted shifter right? And that scrawny steering wheel.
everything the same pati column shifter! it has been eons since i have driven a 4d56 na l300. i couldn't tell pero sabi ng driver mas may power kaysa luma. yung gauge is slightly different red led back light. lcd odometer still no tachometer. still figuring out how to install one. also nawala na yun quartz clock sa dashboard. sa record keeping ko mas matipid sa krudo. mukhang nakabuti na tumaas yung cab. di ganun kainit sa pwet

Lols. So apart from the engine, same dinosaur. Naka drive na ako nung Karga, malakas sya. Medyo mataas lang yung clutch pedal and masyadong closely spaced yung slots ng shifter. But ergonomics ang layo sa L300.

exactly. good thing you mentioned about sa ergonomics. na realize ko ngayon lang na sa lahat ng review na napanood ko sa youtube ni isa walang mag mention about sa ergonomics ng l300 specifically na napag iwanan talaga siya compared to the competition. maski yung traviz mas maganda ang ergonomics ng di hamak.

yung travis mahal din. mas moderno konti ang interior. but taking into consideration ang reliability ng 4ja1 you still get less power at more engine vibration but still more expensive than the l300 fb.
If modernity talaga habol mo in owning this type of vehicle, mas ok yung mga korean ute. Although more than a decade na sila sa market, hugis palang pati design ng loob ibang level imo.

binabasa ko yung manual. yung 4N14 is 2,268cc pala to be excact. so by rule of rounding up dapat pala 2.3 liter yun l300 fb. lahat ng review na napanood ko 2.2.

sa Wikipedia ng Mitsubishi 4N1 engine it is 2.3L.

    4N14
    Specifications
Engine type Inline 4-cylinder, DOHC 16v, MIVEC
    Displacement 2.3 L (2,268 cc)
    Bore x Stroke 86 mm × 97.6 mm (3.39 in × 3.84 in)
Turbocharger variable geometry turbocharger / variable diffuser, intercooler
Fuel system Common rail with piezo injectors
Peak power 130 kW (177 PS) at 3500 rpm [12]
    Peak torque 380 N⋅m (280 lb⋅ft) at 2000 rpm

    2019 Mitsubishi L300 (without variable timing, 73 kW (99 PS)/200 N⋅m (148 lb⋅ft))
Sa Mitsubishi PH site ng L300 it says 2.2L

The 2.2 liter DOHC (Euro 4 compliant) diesel engine returns 200 Nm maximum torque and 99.25 PS of power. In other words, you’ve got a lot of brute strength to help you haul those heavy loads.
Meron din pala na 4N14 sa Strada (L200/Triton) sa ibang bansa
    Mitsubishi Triton Fifth generation (KJ/KK/KL)

I dont think there's a rule in displacement marketing. Mitsubishi had to differentiate their 4n15 from their 4n14
