Get a 2 door car/Coupe while your still single. because when your married with kids, There are so many factors (Especially the Wife)that would prevent you from getting one . So my suggestion get the 86 or BRZ.
Remember that the 86/BRZ prefers premium fuel, Expect a slightly higher PMS cost but its the price of getting a sports/toy car. Unless your are enamored with speed/acceleration the 86/BRZ is fast enough for most needs.

February 18th, 2020 12:44 AM #28There actually is a manual MX5 soft top. Hehe. Just mentioned it since it’s my plan to get one in a few years and I’m in a similar position as OP:
OP: current car - Altis, next target - BRZ/86 or WRX
Me: current car - Civic, next target - MX5
Reiterating what others are saying, OP’s problem now is to decide whether he’s looking for outright speed or impeccable handling.
In any case, what a great problem to have!

My 2 cents - I was in your shoes a year or so ago. I'm also a twenty-something with a Civic and was planning to get a nice car for myself as my next (pre-owned Miata MT or IS350F or F30). Thankfully good friends and mentors knocked some sense into me - the same money you'll spend on those toys, you can use as downpayment for a decent piece of land, or as startup capital for a small business.
Then once your land appreciates or your business earns sustainably, go get yourself a nice car as a reward. You can buy a car anytime, but that piece of land might have already doubled in value if you wait 5 years.
TLDR - Delayed gratification. Again, just my 2 cents of course. If you think a nice car will bring you long term happiness, then sure go ahead.

Happiness varies from 1 to another. Jut's advice is responsible, mature, calculated & sound....but there are those who live by Carpe Diem! It's really now or later....much later if a family happens in between.
