You won't go wrong with a Montero Sport.
I still have my 2012 MS GTV and still happy with it.
Diesel consumption continues to be on the economical side.

January 4th, 2021 07:53 PM #75for me, much better to replace every 5k using a cheaper oil (within spec as required by manufacturer) than using those expensive oil and doing longer OCI..
maitim pa din ang diesel sa atin..

January 4th, 2021 09:41 PM #77many years ago, when synthetic oil was not as popular as now,
experts would recommend synthetic oil replacement every 10K km, and oil filter replacement every 5K km.
"it was a messy matter."
in my car, i use mineral oil. i have the oil and the filter replaced religiously every 5K km.

In the international Kia forums & Hyundai forums, a lot of the members from the US, UK & some EU counties change their fs oil & filters every 5,000 miles (7,500 Kms) even though their conditions are not considered severe (traffic is not heavy, their roads are not dusty and their climate is cool). They don’t extend their o/c to 10, 15 or 20k as suggested in the manual because they base it on their use. These are for diesel & gasoline engines. They don’t scrimp on the oil & filters cause most of them DIY. I want to mention also, that cars under warranty don’t have to be brought to the dealer for regular PMS as long as a licensed mechanic in any garage does it, warranty will not be voided. Pretty neat huh?

June 18th, 2021 08:19 PM #80Hi guys! Sorry out of topic newbie lang kasi sa forum. Question lang…
Is it still worth it to buy honda civic FD 2009-2011 1.8S AT this 2021? I am planning to buy kaya lang hirap mag hanap ngayon ng pasok sa criteria ko. Preferably all stock at simple lang tapos as much as possible low mileage (70k or less). 300-400k max budget.
