Thanks "always yummY" I visited the showroom yesterday the sales person told me that model 2005 is already out but unlike the D-MAX Crosswind they said still use the old engine design.

based from the reviews that I've read.

    - the XUV/XUVi is too slow to accelerate (maybe because of those big tires?)
    - humongous A pillar

and sadly, almost all AUVs (even the high-end ones) don't have safety features like airbas, abs, and side-impact beams.

though among AUVs, this is the best looking one (those tires really spell the difference).

Agree I prefer it's bigger tires, probably more expensive but looks great on the road, how stable at top speed?

i've tried 110 kph, piro hindi pa yon maximum nya on cemented road, tsaka loaded ako, ok naman, b sure to close all your windows, nd when your on that speed beware of sudden turn and drive carefully

i've seen crosswinds topping out at 120+kph. beware though of sudden movement (which can tip over the vehicle).

i've seen base model crosswinds (not the XUV/XUVi) topping out at 120kph with a full load. just don't know how stable it is at that speed.

IMO, just a suggestion don't drive it at 100kph above and just like any high center of gravity vehicles which are prone to rollover. It's people/cargo hauler and not a speed machine. Hindi stable sa high speed at parang tataob but hey if you want speed and superb cornering capabilities get a car ;). It is more on the driver's responsibility, knowledge of vehicle's capability and most of all common sense. Most AUV speed maniacs you guys see don't have those or bring their rides to the limits.

high center of gravity po. for SUVs / AUVs.

and as FD said, for its intended purpose as a people/cargo hauler it's a good buy.

Am pleased to inform you that the Top of the Line for Crosswind is SPORTIVO, with front facing third row seat, Captain's Chair (Bucket Seat Actually because it does not swivel), plus other amenities. Please visit www.isuzuphil.com for more product info.

I have an XUVi AT since 2003. It's 41,000 already and I have not replaced anything except for the regular 5,000 kms maintenance.

Tibay ng pang ilalim and a REAL WORKHORSE!

Ganda ng change nila recently. I love the 1-pc headlamp assy! GO FOR IT!!!!!

Besides, if you're after a durable, dependable (& reputable) diesel engine.... it's spelled I-S-U-Z-U!

I have an XUVi (got it July 2002), according to IQA, its the 7th unit from the plant. Hindi pa naman ako nagkakakaproblema sa engine, radiator, exhaust pipe or anything sa ride ko. Just did regular PMS and works great to me.

    Ride is bumpy as expected.
Accelerate is slow relative to Revo.
    Cruising speed is 80-90kph.
Top speed I got with just me on board is 138kph.
Full load, can top to 110 only. Kaya pa ang 120kph pero you need a longer highway.

Fuel consumption: city-9.5 kpl (kilometers per liter), highway-13kpl, mix 11-kpl.

One thing that I don't like with my ride is the turn signal, ang ingay kapag lumiliko ka, because of the material of the mechanism used. Almost every month, tinatanggal ko ang manibela para lang ipitan ng foam or soft cloth 'yong mechanism na 'yon to minimize the click sound while turning, with the turn signal on.

Ang advise ko, mag research ka muna ng mabuti. Get the pros and cons. Marami ang pumupuri sa ganda ng makina pero meron din nagsasabi ng horror stories about the lousy dealers and poor fit and finish.

P1M+ is a lot of money so be wise in spending them.

i think parating na rin yun pamalit nila sa xwind which is the MU. its like the everest - ranger na ginawang AUV. I think its based on the d-max pickup.
