Yung sub ko kasi may parang 'pop and crackle' noise when playing at full volume. May problem kaya sa voice coil?

This is the second Targa sub ko na nagkaganito (X-100 model). Balak ko muna patignan sa office nila at baka sakaling maayos.

1. Naayos ba ang subs (repairable)?
2. Ano ba ang mga ok na 10"-12" affordable (Targe price) subs sa market ngayon? Where and how much?
3. I'm planning to change my MDF sub box to fully comply with the box size (currently a bit short) for Targas (or whatever sub I might get). Ok lang ba ang kahoy instead of MDF?
4. Sealed type lang ang balak ko. Ano ba yung ported? Do I just cut a hole in the box?

fafa otep: its either the voice coil, or some external grounding connection ek-ek. nangyari na rin sa akin yan. nakita lang na maluwag yung connection sa amp.

3. MDF is recommended because it is rigid and hard, which in turn produces good sound quality. Ang tendency ng plywood is mag fflex under high load. Stick to MDF, di naman malaki ang price difference, also use screws instead of nails para mas matibay ang box mo.

4. yup but its more complicated than that, pagawa mo na lang sa labas, medyo complicated ang calculations ng ported box not like sealed mabilis lang gawin. Ported box will provide you with more bass but less definition, in short malakas yung bayo pero mas bawas ang definition ng mids kasi masasapawan sa lakas ng lows. But it all depends on the port your going to use -> Slot, tube, etc.

basically sir Otep targa subs are ok and much durable compare to phoenix gold subs. i prefer pa rin yung MDF na wood works. kasi kung regular wood or plywood or whatever papangit ang tunog na hindi magiging maganda ang performance ng sub nyo sir, try goin to araneta sounds. along araneta ave. malapit sa big berts yun. look for JEFF TAN...
