mga kapwa tikoteers! advice naman dyan...balak ko mag "upgrade" ng audio "system" ng kotse ('99 honda vtec vti A/T)...yun lang pinaka-simple like change stock HU and change the stock speakers (front/back). not considering any ampli, no subs. ah, tweeters pwede ko i-consider to include. as to the HU, i'm thinking of getting a pioneer brand (unless you will give some suggestions to consider. if so, include brand and specific model).

question: what would you suggest i get myself? saan pwede magpa "set-up"?
    Maraming salamat!

Seryoso.

Mickey's Auto Sound gives a nice overview of the market prices of car audio products but they charge a premium (obviously). So if you plan on buying parts, from let's say, Banawe... prices are significantly lower.

Get a good HU, then get a nice pair of separates. Once you tested the sound and you feel you want another upgrade, get an amp and a sub.

Your budget is up-to-you. Just make sure your HU could more or less power your seps without drastic compromise in SQ.

For HU, Philips is still recommended.

For the speakers, depends on whether you like coaxials (woofer and tweeter are close) or separates (woofer and tweeters are separated). I suggest separates since you get a better soundstage since the highs (tweets) comes from head-level while the mids (woofer) comes from below. For brands, there are tons of brands out there. I'd suggest Kicker for its bang-per-buck.

sir ako i used DLS speakers front (with separates) and back. HU is still pioneer, JVC ok din pero i noticed mahirap sumagap signal kung hindi ka naman mahilig sa malakas na sounds OK na ang DLS pero pag kulang pa, you can add amps and sub later...set up ko is kid audio (binan laguna)

parang ang hirap magupgrade ng sounds ng hindi gagamitan ng amp. pag gagamit ka kasi ng good sounding speakers, it has to be powered by an amp. kung coax and midrange speakers lang din ang gagamitin mo, baka di masyado noticeable and improvement sa sound. 25k pwede na sa budget meal sound setup (5k for HU + 20k for setup). Go to ACA or Soundlab.

Simple upgrade akin. Pioneer HU w/ i-pod/USB connectivity - 4,500 nakuha ko. Mas mura yung walang ipod support.
Seps Infinity - 1,800. mas mura pioneer parang 1,000 lang.
Speakers Infinity 3 way 150 watts each ata yun 4pcs - 3,000 lahat
    Kasama install

then got a powered JBL sub woofer P 7,800. initially me problem shorted yung remote pero nung naayos ok na.

Another super bait person. Marunong sila mag alaga ng cliente.
