I was reading this forum all along but never read any post how to construct a good enclusure(box). Some people think that any box will do with thier system and that is a very deceiving...false.
Some people know that an enclosure(box) does more than simply hold the subs on place, wrong....it is an integral part of the system. Believe it or not a properly sized and built enclusure can turn an INEXPENSIVE woofer into a good performer, while a poorly designed or constructed enclosure wiil make even the finest woofer sounds like mud.
There are two main challenges in designing and constructing an enclosure; making sure it contains the proper volume of air, and controling the cabinet resonances that will otherwise compete with the sound from the woofer(subs). See jimmayor07 post how your sound become color if your box volume is incorrect.
The ideal volume of an enclosure(lenght x width x height) will vary dependi kung anong woofer(subs) ang pinili mo. Hindi lahat ng woofer(subs) ay created equal they have diff., power range, frequency range, impedance and some have dual voice coil(DVC). You must know what is the right internal volume for your woofer(subs) to maximize the sounds w/o muddying the sounds either sealed or ported box.
