    question lang mga pafs,

can i use 2 ohms on bridged mode? sabi kasi ng installer ko di daw pwede unless naka class d monoblock ako na amp. kung hindi, uusok daw ang amp ko haha! (nay!)

pero i believe his theory is flawed. AFAIK, you need a monoblock amp if you want to run on 1 ohm right? so, if my amp has a minimum speaker impedance of 2 ohms diba dapat running on 2 ohms shouldn't be a problem???

or, can i only run 2 ohms on stereo mode & not on mono . i have a dual coil sub 2 or 8 ohms (but currently at 4 ohms using single coil) & im thinking of connecting both coils at parallel mode to get 2 ohms...

now, my question is can i run a 2 ohm sub (coils rigged at parallel) on bridged mode (mono)? or do 2 ohms work only on stereo? pag naka 2 ohms ba ako di ko pwede i-bridge?

    TIA!

The most and effective way to transfer power from amplifier to speaker is through impedance matching. That is, 2 ohms speaker and 2 ohms amps. as in your case is definitely correct. Parallel/series/parallel-series combination of speakers that correspond to the impedance requirement of the amps is acceptable.

the installer is correct as he knows that each amp is rated for 2 ohms

a 2-ohm load on a bridge would require each amp stable for 1-ohm, because in a bridge mode, each amp "sees" only half of the impedance connected between them
