help RE: Subwoofers

tulong po, can you school me about everything that has to do with subwoofers. what should i look for when buying, specs, etc.

or kahit links lang about them...

m planning to setup my new rav4 kasi sobrang walang bass yung stock.

ano po ba gusto mong ma-achieve, SQ ba o SPL? SQ=Sound Quality, SPL=Sound Pressure Level. correct me on this one na lang guys if im wrong.

for SQ, i would go for JL Audio. kapag SPL naman, Kicker's Solobaric, either L5 or L7. you will also be needing an amplifier to power these subs. just make sure that the amplifier's match w/ that of the sub, power and impedance.

ano ang pinagkaiba ng SQ sa SPL?

tsaka ano rin ang ibig sabihin ng RMS? ano pinagkaiba nito sa max output? yun kasi ang parati kong nakikita sa mga online stores e...

ang plano ko po, yung mga enclosed na subs sana para hindi masyadong maka-occupy ng space...

kakailanganin ko rin po ba ng cross overs? or kaya na ito nung stock HU ng rav4?

SQ = sound clarity
SPL = bayo (boom-boom)

it would be best kung may x-over ka para maseparate mo ang low frequencies para lumabas sa sub. i would also suggest that you power your sub with an external amp kasi mahihirapan/mabibitin ka sa internal amp ng HU mo.

Lil' short on the budget but that's the best I could come up with. If your also considering local subs there's this Fenton I heard of...

punta kang Hans Tools sa Shangrila. Daming V12 (brand) na Tube type na sub. the 10" ata, less than 6k. Powered na sya. Wiring na lang kelangan mo, w/c will cost less than 2k.

Sa Raon mo bilhin ang mga parts ng set-up mo. Swak na swak ka sa budget. Ganun ang system ko, eh. Pero dahil tamad ako pumunta sa Raon, kay Boc ko na lang binili. hehehehe.

TARGA lahat ng speakers (subs at seps). Tapos ang amp ko ay 2nd hand na V12 (bili ka na lang ng brand new na Fenton siguro). Yung wiring ay Lightning Audio, Alpine, at Pioneer (pero kinuha ko lang sa mga old car parts na nakakalat dito samin). Yung box si GlennSter ang gumawa.

may mga tanong pa po, mas-maganda po ba na enclosed subs ang bilhin ko o mag-setup nlng ako ng box?

atsaka pahingi pa po ng mga sub/amp/x-over combinations na alam niyong (thru your experiences) maganda ang output...
