DLS Crossover Pass filter for tweeter got burned...

kung 500w per channel ang feed mo sa 200w peak na speakers. yari nga ang capacitors sa high pass channel ng filters. yung low-pass filters mostly use coils na hindi naman madali masunog. palitan mo yung speakers at filters mo..mas higher ang rating not lower than 500W or wag mo paabutin ng 200W peak ang lalabas na power sa amp mo (turn down the main gain setting).

So ito pala yung salarin kung bakit nasunog. Are there any other factors that would make the high pass filter burn?

I'll bring in my revo at the shop on sunday and inform them of the likely cause of the incident. Its the fault of the shop right because I didnt modified any settings and even if someone accidentally does changed it, then the shop should have anticipate that and warn me or better yet installed devices which is best suited to one another.
Sana, I dont have to shell out money for the damaged parts...

In my experience sa V12 (No offense sa mga gumagamit ha sa akin lang to) hindi maganda ang sound quality niya..masakit sa tinga yong mga speakers ko we can tell the x-over was not doing its job properly..kahit ano gawin mo sa x-over settings.. gumanda na lang yong set-up namin ng pumalit kami ng JBL..at maganda din para sa akin ang FENTON..(iwan ko lang kung meron pa ito) One of the factor probably hindi tama ang signal na ibinigay sa ampli mo papunta sa separates mo..dahil ang sa akin 75 RMS ang separates 100 RMS ang ampli ko(masmaganda panga pagmalaki ang RMS)..wala namang problema I had my set-up for almost 2 years now and still doing its job properly.. Huwag ka maniwala sa 2000 watts(dahil mga generic amp ang mga ito... OVERATED to get your attention) if you still have the box or manual..Im pretty sure meron sila nilagay na 65 0r 80 watts RMS lang yan or even less ...just check.. kung power ang paguusapan tamang tama lang yong amp mo sa speakers..pero kung quality sa amp mo..hhmmm..nadamay tuloy ang DLS mo.. kung filter lang ang nasunog Im sure maraming spare yan sa RAON..GOOD LUCK!

as of now im still using v12 amp, and boy it starts to turn like an iron at volume 4 and automatically turns off/ auto protect at volume 5

lately nagka static din and poor sound quality.

v12 f805? i beleive 2000 watts ang addvertisement rating jan

pero no one would beleive it. baka nga RMS nyan wala pang 150 watts per channel.

hindi man ito 2000W (500w x 4ch), nasunog pa rin. sign na hindi kaya ng passive filters yung output ng amp. tama sa raon marami filters, choose the one that closely matches yours, goofalots

its the most probable reason. i dont know how you and the shop came to decide regarding the system components and the operation of the system - so i dont know who to blame.

Mostly I know ang nasusunog speaker like tweeter if mali ang crossover point or mali ang wiring sa crossover.

Pero ito cross over mismo nasunog? Hmmnnnn.. di pwede masunog sa over use yan kung tama ang install, Im sure wiring configuration mistake by the installer yan

Nareplaced na ng shop ung nasunog na tweeters ko. Inupgrade ko pala ung V12 NV-805 ko sa Thunder Audio TAA-5460 5ch. Ayos ba ito kahit powered nya lahat ung front, rear and sub? Nasa normal settings and tama lang ung gain..

i-post mo yung audio system setup wiring diagram. akala ko filters lang ang nasunog. pati tweeter ba? o tweeter and hi-pass filter?
