Sus... old CD-ROMs can be had for dirt cheap... all you need is wiring adapting it to the car's 13v power supply.

Di ba grabeng mag-skip ang mga yun? ???

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Ang CD drive kasi will play audio CDs as long as there is power. I think sa headphone output dumadaan ang signal not via the IDE sa likod. Idadaan lang ang signal sa amp to power the speakers.

And tama si AC. MP3s are treated as normal data files by the CD drive. You'll need a program like Winamp to decode MP3s. And for that you'll need a computer. Pero since via headphone jack na rin ang output ng CD drive, you can use a dedicated MP3 player. Sa total gastos mo, you're better off buying an in-dash MP3 player na lang :D

won't it be easier just to get a MP3 player and use a cassette adapter to connect to the existing H.U.?

Less frustration and customization that will not work perfectly whatever you do because of the nature of the devices used in extra-ordinary service.

done that before..wala naman masyadong skip..

I saw this set up from my friend here abroad you will need to have voltage regulator for 5VDC and the other is 12VDC. The only CDROM to be or those with headphone out with volume control in the front, then use casete tape adapter for Car CD Adapter. Actually di naman tumatalon kahit me lubak

about the set-up, the same 12-volt supply will be connected in series with a resistor to the 5V terminal of the CD-ROM para magkaro'n siya ng 5V tapos yun na yon, kabit na lang yung RGGL output sa likod ng CD-ROM sa CD Player connector ng HU ganu'n kasi dati HU ng owner jeep ko noon eh hehe...

ok 'yan. you need to attach an IC voltage regulator (#7805) to reduce the voltage from 12v to 5v. as for the output you may use the jack on the front or use the analog output at the back to connect to an amp or HU (with tape adaptor).
