IMO overrated sony xplod. Ginamit lang sony mahal na pero not up to par performance. Definitely JBL ako sa comparo na ito.

JBL is better, everyone in the business knows it.

If you're just an everyday driver who wants to upgrade their stock setup into something better- either JBL or Sony will do, chances are you wouldn't notice the difference anyway.

Tip: Don't read too much into things such as compability or RMS ratings, either audition a setup and see for yourself or get something installed and learn to love it.

better ang pioneer sa jbl, good in sound quality from low end to high end.

Last time I knew Pioneer weren't that good as compared to other brands if we're talking about seps. I may be wrong though.

But Pioneer is good in their HU, tweeters & subs ( not sure here ) department.

How did I know ..

I am equipped with Pioneer HU's since I bought the car.
My friends are equipped with Pioneer HU's too, and even tweeters. Their units range from the lo-end models to the highest end units.

As for the amplifiers, JBL parin bias ko.

Subwoofers, still JBL.

Separates, none. Biased ako sa Focals

sabihin nating PA audio system "" sa PA magandang gamitin ang mga pioneer equipment as the main unit like players,, DJ mixers,, equalizers,, etc..
at pag dating naman sa speakers,,subwoofers.. di mo na maaasahan ang pioneer.. kailngan JBL na

ganun din po yon sa kotse...
main head unit natin kadalasan pioneer dahil maganda ang quality neto pag dating sa music... try mo mag mono block amplifier like DLS tapos isang JL audio o RE audio o kicker L7 tapos front mo focal then JBL ang rear mo... di ka mag-sisisi niyan sir sa sobrang ganda ng tunog para kang naka SPL na naka SQL hehehe......

in my opinion po, as the installer, kelangan muna match sila sa isa't isa, di po mahalaga sakin kung anung brand yun, ang mahalaga is accurate yung details nung brand, at tama kung san mo yun ilalagay, in my experience in car audio, even it has a good name, or even those brand were popular, you have to try it first to find out if it was good to you, pwede naman yun in some shop like ours.
Another thing is the quality and price of the brand, syempre, pag bumili ka ng gamit na mura, dont expect too much na tutunog yun ng same as high brands, as like you want to compare jbl in pioneer, these brands, as of my whole experience, has a huge difference.

masasabi ko lang sir kahit anong brand sa mga yan basta ma match mo ang compatibility nila,,,,
tulad ng pag mamatch ng speakers sa amplifier,,,
at dipende din po yan kung anong trip mong music...dahil hindi ka naman pwedeng mag setup ng SPL kung ang mga trip mo ay classic o acoustic music lang naman....
at syempre dipende pa rin sa budget mo yan... para mai-detail mo ang line-up ng ise-setup mo....
hindi naman kami pwedeng mag suggest dito ng setup kung di naman naaayon sa trip mong music na pinapatug-tog at kung di naman mag fi-fit sa budget mo...

Napalitan mo na ba yung oem speakers ng Paj mo BG? Ano ba kasya sa atin para kasing bitin ako sa OEM eh. Baka may alam kayo dyan na sakto na at wala nang fabrication na gagawin?

Sorry RT ngayon ko lang nabasa to.

Yup napalitan ko na yung sa front door tsaka sa rear. Naiwan lang yung 4" sa dashboard buo pa (plan to replace it with 4" seps naman hehehe ).

Pair ng 2-way 5" sa front doors and a pair ng 3-way 6x9 sa likod all-the-way pioneer pati head unit, swak lang no mods needed. Ayos ang clarity very satified ako, bass na lang kulang.

Problem lang yung 12" JBL subs na gusto ko, mukhang di kakasya sa likod ng third row.
