For my own two cents, brand name power is king abot sa mga ganito. Wag naman unknown brand baka mamaya dangerous na pala ginagawa mo.

Most people at this level don't really audition cars. I mean, no offense, but yun nakikita ko is that most people simply buy these, install, ayun lang. Their sound don't really differ. Personally di ko alam yun difference ng JBL, Sony, or Pionner speakers unlike higher-end products where competitors try to differentiate their products by introducing a particular sound signature (this makes it easy to differentiate DLS speakers from, let's say, Focals)

There are a lot of good products out there for budget setups: A/D/S, Dominations, Pioneer, JBL, Alpine, etc. trying to debate among them is like trying to proving whether Samsung makes better TVs than Sony Bravia. Iikot-ikot lang yan.. since opiniated lahat.

Pero sa choices, JBL parin ako . Why? Kasi masparang high-end compared to Sony pakingan eh. If it's "pare, sony setup yan.." walang dating. While if you say "That's a JBL GTO setup with blah blah blah.." masmay-dating diba? :naughty2:

i second de motion! i myself got the JBL GT5s12 subs.... pinag palit ko sa infinity ko na 10 inchers.. definitely better boom-boom sounds...

Depends on the shop, but most capable shops can meron naman silang equipment for that eh. (P.S. They shouldn't charge a fee too)

Pare, mukhang pareho tayo ng taste sa car audio. I have a Xtant 403a 50X2 +200. Just removed from the car I sold. Used to power a ID10v3. Very clean sounding amp medyo malaki lang.

Haha, parang nga (good taste ) seeing Xtant nowadays is very rare due to their disappearance in the amplifier industry. Keep those.. madami may gusto ng mga old-school amps and there are alot of collectors around if you know where to find them.

Last time there was an Xtant amplifier in the Philippines EMMA is in 2007 :naughty2: imagine if you can still use those after 20years afterwards.

Infinity is supposed to be JBL's higher-end brand. The better bass response is probably because 12-inchers can displace more air compared to your previous 10-inchers hence the "added oomph". Remember, getting a single good 12" is better than having 2 10" in most circumstances.
