    MidSP Package 1
    Firland EV602 6.5” Separates (Front)
Firland 602c 6.5” Coaxial Speaker (Rear)
Lightning Lab CLASS AB 100watts rms X 4ch
4awg Premium Lightning Lab Wiring Kit
    P14,499
FREE P1,100 worth of Tsikot Damplifiers (2 Sound Deadening Sheets with installation) good for 2 doors

so tama po ba yung sinabi ko na 2 ang preouts nung HU, meaning 2 amps ang maikakabit? dun sa unang preout maikakabit is isang 4ch amps to power the seps and coax then dun sa isa pang preout makakapagkabit pa ng isang mono amp to power the sub kung sakaling gusto kong magdagdag ng sub sa future, tama po ba sir jon?

but trunk space is also valuable to me... what do I do?

Ive been asking around if the under seat plug&play amplified 8" Sub is worth it, NOBODY said yes.
The box set (Focal SB30 A1) would likely be my choice if I ever go through with it though, what's your take on this?
should I let my installer create a custom box instead, It would be a little cheaper.
Generally, I'm not a fan of amplified subwoofers in a car setup since the bass it produces would be comparable to a good 6 1/2" midbass mounted on a deadened door panel.

As for branded subwoofers that comes with their box (like the mentioned Focal SB30 A1), they're pretty expensive to be practical for most people. I would recommend having your installer fabricate a custom box instead where you can control the air space inside and stuff polyfill to compensate if the box is too small.

Depending on your car, I think the key is to be flexible on where to position your subwoofer. There's no rule that subwoofers should always be at the back. In fact, if you're in a position (and you like to) to mount the subwoofer at front, I would recommend that for SQ applications since you get the "bass up front" sensation. That's possibly one of the hardest things to get right in tuning. Where can you mount them? I've seen them mounted in gloveboxes (Reo's Altis -- EMMA Advanced 7channel champion), in the passenger footwell (Norbert's City -- EMMA Advanced Unlimited 2nd place), etc.

I'd dig the JVC. More pre-outs the better and it gives you the added flexibility for future upgrades.

Any properly tuned sub can achieve the "gapang" sound, it's in the design of the box and the proper tuning and matching of the amp. Use a ported box tuned to a low frequency, it will definitely give that "gapang" bass.

You'll be looking mainly at ported boxes with a specific port tuning. Based on user experience, I think the most common ported frequency is 38hz and I think my ideal "gapang" frequency is at 35hz though

I wouldn't buy into the argument that you need an amplifier to "match" the subwoofer. Take any subwoofer, place it in a box, and have any amplifier that can sufficiently power it. But if Fotonista was talking about level matching, agree naman ako doon

As for the type of subwoofer, it also plays a part. I'll be newbie-friendly here and won't omit technical specifications such as Qs and Fs but some subwoofers are better in terms of SQ and others in SPL applications.

Ano yun decent SQ setup for you then? If I already have a very good tunable head unit, I think I could spend cash somewhere at 30k and have a decent SQ setup or if you can give me 60k, stuff good enough to at least compete in EMMA 60k category.

Does various price levels of aftermarket headunits have a big significance to the sound quality it produces?

lets say an Alpine X305 headunit I use cost 15k and if I do upgrade to a full touchscreen ALpine IXA 407E
which is around 35-40K will I hear a difference?

How about their H100 sound processor? should I go with that upgrade instead?
'hear the music fully as the artist/composer intended' -- that's what Alpine claims with this processor

Those units have the same specs level so don't expect sound difference between them, they both required PXA-H100 sound processor to attain it's performance, so if you set these processor to X305 already, there you get a sound difference in your system.

As sound quality is subjective, that really depends on YOUR perception.

For example: Many say that the Alpine CDA-117 sounds better than the 9887, Eclipse MK7200II sounds more "analog" than the P99RS, etc. But in the end, I sit in every vehicle with the favorite decks of car audio enthusiasts from old-school Denons and Nakamichis to the still-coveted Clarion HXD2 and all I can is that "I can't hear a thing". I think this is attributable that my ears aren't trained enough... but hell, 99% of the population isn't either. So I'd rather pay attention to your tuning settings such as crossovers or slopes as this will still be the cornerstone of your perceived sound quality difference. Unless you're the type of person who can hear a 0.5dB difference, I wouldn't fret over it head unit X sound quality to head unit Y sound quality.

Pare, my brother used to have a cheap Pioneer head unit that he coupled with an independent 24-band L/R Audiocontrol EQ and I find that it sounded very good. Heck, I'm using a stock head unit and most people would rate my sound quality to be "high". Factually, it sounds excellent for a daily driver.

It may be for a fact that a more exotic or expensive DAC or other audio component would yield a noticeable audible improvement. But after all these years, I think I'd be more happy with a spanking new TV on the wall rather than spending it on that "noticeable audible improvement"

Look for technical capability instead -- number of EQ bands, slope intervals, pre-outs, etc. ;)

Agree with jhnkvn, it's the technical capability and not the price...

I started with a 2DIN DVD HU of pioneer. Satisfying indeed, the quality of video and audio it produces will definitely separate your stock HU. Having the HU that good, I changed my stock speakers to a pair of Hertz ESK 165 seps. It gave justice to the HU's capability, hearing every note and instrument separates, giving you that "stage" in front of you when you listen to every music.

But when I tried going back to a 1DIN Alpine 9887 (Actually it's my first time to try alpine, pioneer ever since I got hooked with car audio). Boy... It was a HUGE leap! The pioneer DVD settings was a far cry from the features and settings of 9887. First install of the HU, I literally drained my pickup's battery kakapakinig, he he, to think that they are on the same price range (mas mahal pa ng konti ang Pioneer).

You can still throw in a subwoofer and amplifier in the Swift. You just need to be more creative with the fabrication. But with a budget of 20k tops, malabo yun

Get an entry-level separates, deaden your door, get an amplifier. Something like a Focal PS165 (10k) and a low-profile amplifier like a Dominations Atom or the entry-level Zapco ST4 would be ideal. However, I think it would be best to simply buy a secondhand Powerbass ASA600.4 or similar for headroom purposes. Most of you peeps like their music LOUD after all.
