Just getting curious day by day.

How expensive is it to maintain a BMW ? Lets say BMW's year 00 ~ present.

When you hear the initials " BMW " the usual thing that pops out from your mind is of course first " porma " then usually " high/expensive maintenance " comes in second or in third.

So how expensive really is EXPENSIVE ? Is it comparable to lets say a camry or an accord ?

    - please give an estimate for the ff ...

    regular pms : xxxxxx php
major pms ( requires you to replace a lot of parts ) : xxxxxx php

uy may bibili ng bimmer hehehe

from what I've read in these threads, there seems to be steps and levels with bimmer casa maintenance...

the "step 1" - an initial diagnostic costing around 6-8k

    whee magkano kaya yung iba?

    ako bibili ? hindi. :hysterical:

una - wala akong pambili. hehehe
second - malamang nga hindi ko kaya maintenance.

napansin ko lang kasi, mas dumarami naka bimmers ngayon. or atleast sa mga dinadaanan ko. kaya naging curious ako how much is yung maintenance nila

    anyways.

    initial diagnostic ? 6-8k ? :faint:

.. or is it just, hindi lang talaga mahirap ang mga pinoy ?

    I think I remember a price quote for my dad's 3 series BMW ...

BMW high tension wires = P8000 .............. per wire.

BMW front lower suspension arm = P14,000 (labor not included)

Good topic. Medyo may kamahalan ang high tension wires pero di naman palagi pinapalitan yun. Ang curious ako is that how much ang PMS nya. The usual jap car is between 3k to 5k.

Tsaka, wala bang replacement parts ito sa Banawe?

For Car and House Insurance, the best deals are with MAPFRE Insular Insurance Corporation. Get comprehensive protection for the assets you worked hard for. Recover from the unexpected, and prepare for the future. PM me for any inquiries or assistance. And for those who are renewing their car registration, Compulsory Third Party Liability (CTPL) should only cost Php560, don't get hustled out there!

Actually pagdating sa maintenance - change oil ka in regular intervals then may tinatawag na Inspection 1, then Inspection 2 approximately after 3 years (this is major checkup). Then depending on the mileage the on-board computer will display the maintenance needed for a certain mileage. For example at 50,000km it will display to change the front brakes. Then at 60,000km it will display to change the rear brakes, change brake fluid, etc. So kung may newer BMW ka basically after 3 years malaki ang gastos mo.

May mga parts na mahal, may mga parts na mura. Mas mahal jaguar sir. i had mine serviced nun july pag pinasok ko sa casa aabot pala ng 56k change oil and tune up palang. nun kinaibigan ko yun S.A inabot lang ako around 25k change oil and tune up .
But ngayon nasira Voltage regulator ng alternator around 12k ata :|. Mahal talaga sa BMW mga major like ASC around 65k+ sa casa and suspension components..Pero mas mahal parin Jaguar shocks palang 11k+ na PER PIECE haha )

based on my experienced if you afford to maintain heavy jap cars you can maintain 00- below bimmer.

but don't compare the 7, X series, models.

3,5 series are easy to maintain, and not that expensive, it's like your maintaning accord, galant, camry only

i can help you if your planning to purchase/ maintain bimmer

    just pm me

What if we throw in Audi into the mix?

We were at Lexus about a week ago (usi), & binigyan kami ng PMS cost ng RX 350 for the next 100k km. Since every 10k ang interval, kumpara sa Murano (every 5k), for example, hindi nalalayo. Nung chineck ko kasi yung Q5, ang sabi nung agent 15k km/1 yr. whichever comes 1st ang paservice, & for the 1st year daw max of ~16k pesos "lang" ang magagastos. Is this true, or sales talk lang? Nung tinanong ko na siya tungkol sa reliability & cost of spare parts, medyo nautal kaya kinabahan narin ako.

    Kapag X1, 3 & 5 kaya?

    MODERATOR's NOTE:

I would strongly suggestly you start another discussion topic for AUDI then.

No need. That question is "in relation to", kaya cars of relatively the same class from BMW, Audi & Lexus. I asked because there has been no substantial information posted kapag per PMS ang pinag-usapan. Also, I think a comparison of some sort will help the discussion to know "how expensive is expensive". A formal inquiry sa isang agent will suffice. I will update the thread if ever I get the chance to do so.

Magkano naman yung "average" PMS cost ng RX 350?

    Parang LC Prado lang ba?

it comes with the territory. the luxurious you buy the expensive to maintain; especially if you buy it new.

however, if you will buy a used car, you might consider maintaining it using regular garage especially for regular maintence like oil change and etc; pero for ther oem parts you will need to replace will still be expensive no matter what; you don't want to put some other car parts into your bmw, right?

Tama yan wag kang bumitaw sa dream mo. Dati nangarap ako ng kotse kahit Honda LXi, after 3 years sa pag-tatrabaho nagkaroon ako ng Honda Civic Vti pa. Then sumunod BMW na pangarap ko. After 4 years ito na brand new BMW 320d (diesel pa) top of the line ng 3 series... kaya wag kang bumitaw sa dream mo. kahit ilang years pa ang aabotin...mabuhay ka kung magtitiis ka para maabot ang pangarap mo.
paano po naging top of the line ng 3 series ang 320d?

    there's the 335i

sa diesel naman there's the 330d

    the 335d

    ---

    then there's the M3 pa
