Style is a matter of taste. For me the MB designs are too old school and conservative. Masyadong pang-matanda. Kung gusto mo mala-DOM ang image OKs lang mag-MB ka. Personally I find the BMW designs much more attractive, not to mention its a lot more fun to drive. I had a relative who sold his MB SLK and replaced it with a VW, and he was a lot more satisfied. If you have a driver and would be driven around, go ahead get an MB. But if you want a car thats fun to drive, get a BMW. Maintenance wise as mentioned by some guys if you know where to look it is not really so expensive. If you can afford the car maintenance of a Jap SUV/Accord/Camry, then PMS costs should be within your reach.
If you can find / afford an M3 that would be a great choice!
But for practicality try looking for 2000-model E46, which would be a good choice. Its new enough and yet doesnt have too much electronics that the current model E90s have. The newer models rely too much on the car's on-board computer to inform you when your PM schedules are rather than going with a Japanese manufacturer's regular 5k,10,40km checkups.

April 15th, 2010 02:00 PM #59you may try my mechanic rico flores (09217702566, 09072968738, 4964552), he is based in QC but he has his own service so probably he can help you. he's been doin engine, mechanical and electronic maintenance of my e46 for almost a year now. rico though is such a busy guy, he's an independent mechanic specializing in euro cars. backyard business but most of the time bmw and MB ang naiiwan sa shop. just check with him
you may need to go to a bmw casa for computer diagnostics though and that's 2.3-2.7K for one car.Last edited by Pro Staff; April 15th, 2010 at 02:02 PM.
