sir jopsiawe, kamusta yung hurricane air-filter mo? am also planning to get one para ma compare ko sya sa vortec eco-filter ko. as for the filtering capability of the vortec eco-filter am very satisfied with it kasi everytime i open the filterbox wala akong makita na fine dust particle inside the postfilter chamber (the area that you see on the left side of the filter box where it leads to the air-intake manifold). in my opinion maganda pagkadesign ng filterbox ng avanza, the airflow coming from the inlet tube flows horizontally first then vertically to pass through the filter element so even the gravitational force helps in some way to make it difficult for dust particle to pass through the filter element.

sir, satisfied naman ako sa filter, mas di na sakal ang engine mas lalo na kapag naka on ang aircon. as to filtering ability, tignan muna natin, kaka install ko pa lang nung jan 4. nung dumating nga yung filter, i held it up to the light, nakita ko yung bumbilya! fine wire mesh kasi sya. opinion ko lang, baka di kasing efficient nang stock filter, pero tignan muna natin baka mali ako

magandang araw sa ACP, wala kaya maging problem kay vanzy kung nakalimutan umaardar sa garahe for almost 9 hours??? kanina kasing umaga sabay ko pinastart yung avanza at civic namin, after a minute nilabas ko yung civic para gamitin. so, nakalimutan ko patayin yung makina ng avanza!! pinastart ko sya ng 9am tapos nung bumalik lng ako ng bago mag 6pm saka ko lng nlaman sana walang mangyari kay vanzy!!! kinabahan nga ako kanina kala ko overheat na!!!

wala naman siguro mangyari dyan sa avanza mo naka idle lang naman ang engine.....at hindi humhataw. mga avanza taxi nga hanggat me pasahero takbo ng takbo....matibay yan toyota yan eh.

di nman po sir masyado naubos, umabot p po sa gasoline station kanina umaga, kahit nakailaw n warning ko, wala namn nga po cguro masamang nangyari kay vanzy, ginamit ko sya maghapon kanina, ok nman takbo wala nman po problem!! mga sirs salamat sa concern!!!! belated hapi new year nlang po sa inyo at sa ACP!!!! thanks!!!

I'm thinking of upgrading the intake system of our humble 2010 Avanza 1.3 J. The engine bay has a lot of space so i think i'll be going for the open air element.

My plan is to get rid of the stock airbox. I would want something that the element head is positioned near the battery or tucked in behind the lower left portion of the bumper. Lots of space there. or even behind the battery, there's also lots of space there.

Anyone who currently have the setup i'm aiming for?
How much would it cost? i'm fine with simota. They are pretty good. The piping is what worries me. am not sure if i have to get it customized or if i can just get it out of the shelves.

Malaking chance na dumumi ang loob ng makita pag naka aftermarket filter.

Maliit na gain sa acceleration.

Hingi lang ng Inputs...nagpalit kasi ako ng air filter from stock filter to K&N filter (dropdown). Napansin ko after changing the filter and after using for a few months, lumakas ang fuel consumption nya. Do you guys think its the filter that is causing a high fuel consumption?

yes, with the old filter it was restricted and it was running lean, when you replaced it with a hi flowing one, the ecu noticed there was more air....to compensate it needed to run a little bit richer...
