sir islaw, when i was gathering information regarding voltage stabilizer, i came across a forum (forgot the address of the site) discussing the pros and cons of using voltage stabilizer, meron isang member ng forum bumili ng fake na raizin na VS then nagamit nya yun for several months lang and nasira, then bumili sya ng original and he opened both VS to see what's inside and compare the difference, the fake one has only 3 capacitors while yung original has 4 or 5 (sorry di ko masyado ma remember), i can't recall if yung capacitance and sizes ng capacitor the same lang. i hope this info helps in your choosing your VS.

sa ebay yung raizin is selling for $49.00 to $79.00

Yah you're right, it may have a difference on the reliability, stability and durability when it comes to comparing Fakes and Origs VS. Pareho naman kasi yung number ng capacitor nung Raizin imitation at nung orig, may voltage indicator display lang yata yung orig, yung sa fake wala.

Medyo, madami-dami din pala ano at kailangan ng magandang housing yan for your DIY.

Actually, meron pang mas high power density na super capacitor dyan sa EDLC - yung latest is the Lithium-Ion Capacitor (LIC) which is already based on Nanotechnology (Geek Speak na ito). This is already designed to replace compact batteries that requires high power requirements (like VS). Kaya i wont be amazed kung meron lalabas na Voltage Stabilizer model na mas higher capacitance rating but small in size in the next coming months because of this new technological developments.

Hello...
45 years in the making ;D

Test Bench result:

Power Source Voltage: 12.5Vdc
Voltage across each capacitor: 4.16666V
Working Voltage of each capacitor: 5.5V

;)

Ok, I tried it to my Car.

Capacitors:
6pcs of 1.0Farad/5.5V Super Capacitor

Diagram:
3 Capacitor in series per Bank
2 Banks connected in parallel

Total Capacitance:
0.666666Farad ( 666,666microFarads )

Total Working Voltage:
16.5Volts

Result:
A Damned Fraction of point volts
Almost unnoticeable,
Nothing change,
No performance boost...
As in wala.
A total capacitance of 666,666microFarads with no effect,
How much more sa mga binebenta dyan na Voltage Stabilizer using only low capacitance.

This is a total waste of time,
And waste of money.

Well, 1st testing ko pa yan, who knows baka may improvement adding more capacitor for total of 1Farad.

The only advantage of stabilizers is more... errh... stable electrical power when all the accessories are running.

The only thing that has a supposed power benefit is the hyper-grounding kit that often comes with those stabilizers. Improved ground results in improved electrical power, and sometimes results in more engine power... but the amount is very tiny... around 5 hp on a brand new 300 hp motor... around 3 hp for a 200+ hp motor. So, on the Avanza, expect a 1 - 1.5 hp difference. That's like a fly farting in a hurricane.

On older cars, a hyper-ground kit can also gain you power, as the stock ground points can corrode over time, but since most of your Avanzas are less than four years old, there's really not much point to getting a set yet.

And you can always DIY a grounding kit with similar high-quality audio cables. (hint hint...)

Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Test car:
• 1992 Model GLXi(singkit): Full DIY Grounding Kit including Starter (+) and Alternator (+). This car, previously suffer with Cold Start Low RPM problem.
• 2009 Model Avanza: Stock setup/wiring.

Sa DIY Grounding Kit nalang mag invest, mura na at mas feel mo pa kaysa bibili ka ng very expensive Voltage Stabilizer na Psycological effect lang mayroon dahil kung nakabili ka tapos alam mo na walang gamit, dismayado ka dahil butas ang bulsa mo in a matter of seconds...unless otherwise galit ka sa mga money mo.

Back to the future "Flux Capacitor"
Seriously that bunch of large Cap used for Magnetic Fusion Experiments.

drop in airfilter - everything is stock except sa filter mo which aftermarket na... cold air na filter?... ito yung mag papalit ka na ng tube where kung saaan masasagap nya e malamig na hangin... just like sa mga nag drag racing makikita mo tanggal headligth nila at andun ang tube or air filter pa puntang intake manifold...

headers meron na nag palit dito

hello ... greetings from Indonesia

I hope that all colleagues would not mind sharing with me.

I have Avanza G 1.3 VVT-I, and I did not make many changes on my machine, just add a CAI (cold water injection), VS (volt stabilizer) and Oil Catch Tank (OCT). I make a CAI with a cost of approximately $ 70, $ 25 and stabliser volt OCT around $ 7.

I installed the CAI was to cover the shortage Avanza engine is weak in the run-down

here's the pic

regards
