Sirs up ko lang yung thread. May question lang po regarding sa paint.

Yung paint kasi nung car door namin, namumuti kapag prolonged exposure sa moisture (rain; more than 3 hours straight) pero kapag carwash wala naman. Yung part na namumuti is yung sa bottom right corner. I noticed na madali mabakbak yung clear coat (scrape ng fingernail with konting diin) so I sandpaper it a little tapos pinatungan ko ng urethane clear coat.

Ngayon chineck ko uli yung area and namumuti parin siya. Ano po causes nito and effects sa paint and body ng car?

Inisip ko narin na iparepaint buong panel, medyo mahal din at 3k kaya sinubukan ko muna patungan ng clear coat.

Repainting lang ba solution?

Turning 6 years this may sir.
Hindi na siya puti sir kasi maaraw na. Kapag nababad lang talaga sa ulan ng matagal.
Since pinatungan ko ng clear, medyo halata siya kapag tinitigan ng mabuti pero oks lang since clear din naman.

Chrome ba talaga dating nya brad? O parang silver lang din? Nasubukan ko mag spray ng chrome sa handles ng door a few years back, hindi chrome ung lumabas. Silver haha ano ba mga preparations bago mag paint ng chrome spray?

Can a business idea like this work? = rent a bumper while the original one is being repaired.
My front and rear bumpers have minor but visible scratches due to dog scratches and minor accidents... casa is quoting 31k and 2 weeks of wait...

I'm sure these bumpers for different car models are a bit predictable in terms of size. Why not sell / rent / use for free a set of detachable bumpers while the original ones are on the works.... I don't care if the paint on the rented bumper miss matches.. Sometimes you don't even need them to match. That's a small price to pay versus waiting for 2 weeks. I'm quite sure after a while, the paint guys can get an idea of the original paint job to match the rest of the car... If this is a good business idea... at least let me know.

ang problema po nyo ay adhesion to chrome substrate, kailanggan po mag wash primer muna kayo bago kayo mag top coat , pwede po after one or two light coats ng wash primer [ hwag po lilihain yung wash primer ] etop coat kaagad after mga 5 mins after wash primer , wala pong kaso maski lacquer, 2k , metallic o kahit anong top coat ang ipangsara mo at maski bosny pwede basta adhesion lang ang problema mo

"Wash over" is called "Hilamos" in Filipino. Yes, they will scrape off the old paint (until primer coat only) and will not expose the metal.

"Scrape to metal" is a separate service and require additional fee. They will scrape off all paint (including primer coat) and expose the metal entirely.
