Mga sir tuwing kelan ba kelangan mag pa underwash especially ngayong maulan?
Let's say daily driven ang sasakyan? Also not sure kung para saan yung rustproofing?

Nagpapa-underwash ako after ko makipagsagupaan sa mga baha (level ng underchassis) during rainy season.. Pero pag di naman ako napadaan sa baha at regular na ulan lang, siguro every month to every quarter pwede na..
Rustproofing = protection to rust. Its a rubber coating na parang pintura sprayed sa underchassis.. For new cars, sabi nila eh rust-proofed na siya out of the casa.. But i had mine still done after my warranty period, sa suking gasoline station.. If i remember, its just between 2-3k for suv, for cars mas mura...

kung walang undercoat ang vehicle mo (coating under the car body and chassis that is like asphalt in color and consistency) then you might want to have this done first. this can be done at your regular gas station. inquire ka lang how much.
if your vehicle already has undercoating then it is not necessary to have an underwash done regularly unless you pass by flooded streets, lalo na kung mabaho yung water and you can smell it when you get off. i only have my cars underwashed after passing a flooded street, baho kasi. so the last time nagpa-underwash ako was....a few years ago hahaha!Last edited by yebo; August 23rd, 2015 at 09:09 AM.

i am a city driver... never had to drive off-road... and i have never had my cars underwashed.
whenever i have the oil change, i look at the undersides, and there's no rust..
i use just the garden hose to remove mud from the fenders...
call me lucky...? or are cars that well made now?
i had a 15 year old car before.. now i have 10 year old.. all of them no under-rust.
undercoat? that's debate-able to me..

I usually have the under body wash after the rainy season. Ito rin yung time na maganda magpa reapply ng undercoating/rustproofing para sa mga parts na na sprayoff ng wash.

Instead of spending so much for undercoating, what we do is regular underwash nalang. We do it every 6months. 350pesos lang naman.

August 23rd, 2015 02:35 PM #7Instead of having undercoats i just make sure that there are no trapped water underneath. Just regular cleaning and removing of mud on the sides
