Will the ease in application of waxes be really significant vs just hand application?

I find that this step takes the most time when doing the car from wash to wax. Plus potential paint correction in the future also a plus.

Kung wala kang time mag hugas ng sasakyan, mas lalong wala kang time mag polish.

So i suggest go for pressure washer. You can use it more than the other.

Pero kung marami kang extra time at gusto mong mag polish/correct ng paint go for the polisher. The polisher is like a "it's nice to have" thing.

As to your question about waxes, bihira lang gumagamit ng polisher in applying and buffing the wax. Usually by hand. Me included.

Ano pala plano mo bilhin na polisher?

True though that the washer would likely see more use although I already have a hose reel and sprayer not sure if there is much of an incremental gain from upgrading to a preasure washer.

I've been looking at the Shinemate line. For a weekend warrior type I think the ERO600 should work? Shinemate looks to be one of the easier to find here at the PH unless you know of any other brands?

Looked at Griots Garage from Amazon too but of course warranty could be a problem in the future and need a step down too.

Polishing often using a machine polisher can thin out the clearcoat until it reaches the paint. Better to have it done by hand. Machine polishing should only be done by a professional once a year or once every two years, only if necessary, as they have the skills and experience than a DIYer. Anything can go wrong if you don't know what you are doing.

Just go for the pressure washer and follow proper washing procedure.

Personally i go for the polisher. Make sure to buy the random orbit or DA type. Not the rotary type which we usually see at detailing shops. AFAIK the former is more gentle to the paint finish and won’t burn the paint. Groits and meguiars are good but quite expensive. Porter-cable is also a good option at a more affordable price point. Check Amazon.

If you have a hose and spray nozzle, that’s good enough. I don’t see any additional benefit having a pressure washer unless you plan to do under carriage washing. But to do that you need a lifter. Perhaps it’ll be wiser to just bring your car to a car wash shop with a lifter or ramp for the under carriage washing.

BTW which shop offers the shinemate? Is it a rotary or an orbital?

Is it just me or do other people spend more money on detailing supplies than on fuel?

What do you mean? Cars spend more time on the garage?

Detailing products are expensive so you will spend more than fuel talaga.

Cars get used 1-2 days out of every week. Cars get cleaned weekly. Owner just loves any excuse to shop for supplies.

Normal people who work at the office use it at least 4x a week. Unless the person has 7 cars to use each day of the week.
