December 15th, 2016 08:48 AM #5942Got another detailing tool. This is a universal pad holder for clay pad/polishing pad/waxing pad. Adjustable velcro hand strap. Velcro back for attaching 5" to 6" pads.

January 10th, 2017 06:53 PM #5945Hi everyone. Tapos yung chamois daw para pangdry after washing.
Thank you fellow tsikoteers.

January 10th, 2017 08:25 PM #5946Sir I'm no way an expert sa car detailing/washing first car owner din ako so I'll try to answer the most basic questions and tell you the basic things na natutunan ko dito and all around the internet.
Even bought a pressure washer to make my life easier. Nakakapagod pero the end result is worth it.
Microfiber towel - maraming klase. Terry, plush, ultra plush are used for buffing as far as I know. Btw microtex ultra plush meron ako kaso di ko pa nagagamit but I only plan to use it when buffing medyo expensive kasi. It comes with different price ranges as well. The cheapo ones like the 3 for 88pesos tend to leave fabric lint like residue after wiping most noticeable when used on glass surfaces. Isa lang masasabi ko, the only towel that should touch your car is microfiber. I've learned the hard way. During the first few weeks of washing, kung ano anong rags lang gamit ko like old t-shirts etc. that's till I've noticed the long scratches on my car. Dito ko lang nalaman na dapat microfiber cloth/towel dapat gamitin because microfiber picks up dirt instead of dragging it around and scratching your clear coat like an ordinary towel/rag does. Basta pupunasan mo ang kotse mo may it be wax, compounds, etc. dapat microfiber towel. Pwede din gamitin for drying though meron specific microfiber towel na used for drying talaga.
Chamois - like you've said, this one is used for drying your car. May rubber/synthetic and microfiber. Yes, that's right. If you've read my post above, I'd suggest to use the microfiber type(I am using the microtex brand). Yes, it has caused scratches on my car.
Mitts - Eto yung parang tentacles used for washing (with car shampoo) your car. Again the golden rule is to use the microfiber type.
Application pad - parang sponge type na pad. Used for applying wax and/or compunds. You can also use microfiber towels to apply wax. Personal preference na lang siguro. I use the application pad though.
For starters, I would personally recommend microtex products. The brand is cheap and they make good products. Pwede na sa newbie tulad ko. From duster, shampoo, microfiber cloth, wax down to tire black microtex brand gamit ko. They're cheap and gets the job done. They even have bundles/cleaning kits which is much cheaper than buying them one at a time.

January 12th, 2017 03:46 PM #5947Thank you for the very detailed explanation *chickentuna. I already have the mitts, shampoo and chamois.

Though mahal siya at 600 petot, pero sulit na sulit yan for drying, provided you do water sheeting method. Kaya niyan magpatuyo ng isang kotse ng walang pigaan.

January 12th, 2017 08:32 PM #5950Beware of fake products from lazada, yung rain x nila is not genuine.
Regarding elite, agree.. but yung binili ko dalawang elite jr.. hehehe.. para first pass yung isa then pang sure dry ung isa.. pero before hand, water shedding then blower..
