Stepboard removal

I was planning to remove the stepboards of my pick-up for a long time already. I tried ulit last saturday but sobrang hirap i-loosen ng mga screws. Tinamaan kasi ng undercoat. May nakapagsabi na gamitan daw ng acetelyn. Whats this for?

30 minutes ko lang ginagawa iyan
12mm socket wrench lang iyan

Acetyline??? Yan ang ginagamit pang welding diba? I dont think so!!!! Kung undercoat lang, hanap ka na lang ng masculadong pipihit ng turnilyo. definitely not advisable

acetelyn yung ginagamit sa torch, siguro what the guy meant was to heat up the nut to melt the undercoat, kaso lang aka may iba pang matunaw.
maybe the bolt is rusted, Try a few drops of brake fluid or wd40 on the nut to dissolve it (the rust not the nut) babad lang it should come loose, iwasan mo lang mapatakan yung paint mo

ive done this already spray wd40 leave it for 30 mins or so after that madali na tanggalin ang nut di mo na kailangan ng masculadong fafa like pajerokid suggested hehehe

Baka akala ng nag-advise sa iyo ng acetelyn barubal or tunawin ang pag tanggal ng stepboards? :shock:

Any other penetrating oil should do the trick to loosen those stubborn nuts and bolts. Just like what the others advised.

Try mo na lang sa Caltex nina Chieffy. They got my bumper out. Rusted mounts na din.

Spray WD-40 or oil sa mga bolts a day before you go to Chieffy's station.

Thanks for the help guys. Buti nalang tinanung ko muna. We've tried using wd40 on the bolts pero mahirap talaga matanggal. Kinain na namin ni otep ung mga nahuhulog na putik sa underchasis ko...ayaw talaga.
