Have seen this P 1,500 Orbital Polisher in Shang. mas malaki at 10 inch. made in Taiwan...
Have also seen the Bosch one on sale, mas maliit, mga 6 to 8 inches lang ata...P 2,700...

Any comments?...ano ba ang mga dapat tingnan in buying one? thanks...

There's a cheaper one... Go to Shopwise (Libis sigurado meron), it's yellow and costs P700 only...

BTW, mahirap lang magwax if the paint isn't polished and cleaned... otherwise, waxing can be done in less than half an hour (based on your Adventure)

Theveed... hindi ko makuha yung half an hour... siguro nga kasi ang bagal naming magwax... apply muna tapos wait ng mga 2 mins, tapos punas... kaya lang di namin basta mapakintab agad... parang daming strokes bago mag shine from dull...tapos per panel pa...

do I have to polish every time I wax, or may regular intervals? (except kung may scratches or imperfections kang gustong alisin)... Baka kasi may adverse effect sa paint yung frequent polishing...

meron akong tip sa iyo Dianne, buy a 100% cotton (terry towel). Yung size na pampaligo(MALAKI). Remove the label kasi nakaka scratch ito. Fold the towel into several folds and wax away. Madali kasi kapag malaki ang pang buff mo.

    Black Magic,

Is it advisable din ba na mag-polish everytime you wax? may recommended frequency ba ang polishing?

I don't have a fixed schedule to polish my car. I just did a Meg DC 3 step tapos I use a cleaner wax every 1-2 weeks. Puti kasi auto ko kaya dapat mag cleaner wax. Tapos i top it off with Step 3 ng DC ulit every other time I use Cleaner wax. OK naman upto now. I learned a lot from theveed talaga.

Cleaner wax basically cleans your paint. Pero the wax is not really that good. Kaya you should top it off with a carnauba para may protection. Pang maintenance lang talaga yon.

Cleaners contain solvents and chemical abrasives to safely clean the paint and remove light oxidation... pretty much a very very light compound... like what BlackMagic said, it's best to top off a cleaner with a standalone wax.

    Orbital Polisher kamo?
    Heto I use a cheap Black & Decker KP600 Waxer/Polisher
which I bought at P2,300 at Hans Tools in Shangrila Mall.
Its still on sale kaya if you want, you give it to yourself as a
Christmas Gift (for being a very good boy this year).
I don't use it for applying wax. I just use it for buffing
the wax off. Saves me time. Its not really a premium polisher
like a Makita but it serves my purpose well enough...
Tama naman si Theveed, with enough practice you can complete
waxing a sedan in just less than an hour...usually 25-30 mins. oks na.

Ano ang mga best examples ng cleaner wax? will this be better in cleaning my paint than applying a polisher?

Depends on your paint's condition yan eh. I'd stay away from the basahan na nilalako sa road. I'd buy a bath towel na lang (100% cotton). Buy a big one and a small one. Buy a car shampoo. Spray your car with water to remove some of the dirt. Tapos put some shampoo diluted in water and apply sa car mo using the small towel. Don't rub hard. Light lang pwede na to avoid scratches. Tapos rinse. Dry the car thoroughly. Feel the paint. Kung magaspang masyado, try using a clay bar to remove the contaminants. Then use a cleaner, polish then wax. This was after my weekly maintenance of my car.
Meguiars Cleaner Wax then Deep Crystal Step 3 Carnauba Wax. I didnt expect the stains to be that tough eh.

Ang ginagamit ko kasi is Meguiars Deep Crystal Step 1 which is a paint cleaner. It is for removing contaminants. Prepping the paint baga. Then Deep Crystal Step 2 which is a polish. Tapos seal mo na lang with Deep Crystal Step 3 which is carnauba wax pero di ito pure carnauba.
