Nasubukan kona yung Akemi and Pompanzi, similar gloss, and not scratch proof but scratch resistant naman. Sa case ng watermarks, yup, na form parin siya but pag na carwash madali matanggal yung trace ng watermarks. Napansin kolang pag oily ang hand kitang kita ang hand smudge.

Today, we'd like to debunk some marketing gimmicks used by many:

1. Ceramic coatings will never be scratch-proof. Hitting a coated car with a lighter and then removing the "scratches" are just gimmicks. Those are just plastic (material) transfers sticking on the paint. Heck, a simple wipe with an old or dirty cloth would still scratch your paint! It's true though that it will have slight scratch-resistance due to coating's hardness.

2. Watermarks can still appear on your paint when rained on and exposed to sunlight on a daily basis, without proper care. A water bead dried on a surface would leave a mark, no matter what magic trick you do. Neglected cars will still look bad after a few months of neglect.

3. Coating application is not the main step that makes your car super glossy. It's the processes before applying it which makes it glossy. Prep work is critical and should not be rushed. Finishing a car in under 6hrs should already warn you of poor prep work. Majority of detailers will leave you holograms that would indicate you just wasted your money.

4. Coatings are VERY EASY to apply. You should find the best and knowledgeable detailer, not the cheapest company that offers the fastest coating application. It's important to stick to your trusted detailer.

We are posting this to stop misinformation to a lot of car owners. Ceramic coatings are still far superior than waxes or sealants, though.

That's all true. Ceramic/Glass coating is simply another layer of clear coat that will last for 2 years. You will still have watermarks, swirls and scratches regardless. But, it will still preserve the original clear coat while giving you a super glossy finish.

Ung coated car namin, may waterspots na din due to our weather din here. Mmya uulan then aaraw ng matindi.

Alam ko na sasabihin ng kapatid ko, akala ko ba naka-glass coat yan? Dapat walang watermarks ek, ek. Sabi ko nga dapat proper maintenance pa rin. Just today nakita ko may hairline scratch sa passenger side door mga 3 inches. Di talaga maiwasan. Hehe babalik ko lang doon sa shop if they can remedy it.

Also planning to buy Gyeon's water spot remover. Will try that kung matanggal nga talaga hehe just spray, leave on for about 30secs then wipe off na.

I saw one water marks remover sa lazada mr squicky brand but not yet tried.

For waterspots on a ceramic/glass coating, I use Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer (G-14422).

"Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer is a high lubricity formula that is safe on all types of paint, including clear coats, single stage paint, and ceramic clear coats."

Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer, Meguiars quick detailer, Meguiars Ultimate Detailer

Don't use other products which does not specify ceramic coating safe.

Yes thats true that you should not use products that is not specified for coated vehicles. That's why I would go for a water spot remover from a glass coating brand itself.

Although I guess some brands are safe to use like this megs ultimate qd or sonax brilliant shine detailer.

I use C2 v3(Gtechniq) to maintain my ceramic coating.

Hi folks, is there an accredited seller of CarPro products here in PH? I'm looking for products for maintaining the ceramic coating for my car, like the CarPro Reload Spray Sealant and CarPro Spotless. Suggestions for another product other than CarPro would be great too!

Another alternative brand is Gyeon which has a reseller here down south.

According to Mike Philips of Meguiars USA, there is no need for "special" product for ceramic coating. All their products can work.

If you think of coating as a second layer of clear coat, then any detailing product that is safe for your car paint is also safe for coating.

That's good to hear! I do have Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Wax, I can perhaps use that as an extra protection for the ceramic coating. As mentioned from another post in this thread, Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailing can be used for removing those nasty water spots and other contaminants. All of these products are conveniently available at local stores.

One of the purpose of ceramic coating and any other paint coating is so that you don't need to wax the car anymore.

Waxing is optional, at least that was the tip from a detailing shop I went to. I reckon it can provide extra protection especially on areas prone to road grime, prolonging the ceramic coating.

I used it for another car for the past month. So far it lasted for a month. Not bad for a spray wax that's very convenient to use.

Answering my own query; Remove coating, treat as you would normally, apply back coating
