for me, paint correction will take at least a day. pero depende pa rin gaano ka severe yung condition ng paint. kung sedan at bago pa sasakyan saka light swirls lang ang imperfections, need lang ng minor polishing so mga 2-3 hrs tapos na yan. for severe contaminations, need nila dapat i clay para maalis ang kumapit na libag then i polish na mabuti para maalis o maminimize yung mga gasgas. yan ang sikreto diyan, kahit regular waxing lang kung maayos pagka-prepped ng paint surface, lalabas na maganda ang kintab. kung minamadali ang paint correction para lang masabing nalagyan ng coating, di pa rin maganda kalabasan niyan. para lang tinapalan ng coating yung mga libag at gasgas

Glass coated vs waxed paint protected.
May difference ba sa level ng resistant ng pagkapit ng road dirt asphalt libag sa paint? Mine is white car kasi so yan problema ko this tag ulan.

i have not done coating sa mga cars ko pero sa level ng resistance, i think mas resilient ang coating kasi parang hardened glass na siya on top of the paint. so kumapit man ang libag, madaling maalis at hindi agad ma-contaminate yung paint surface. unlike sa wax, once mag-subside after few washes, kakapit na agad sa paint yung dumi.

Okay. Let say contaminated na yung coating then i clayed it. Matatangal or sasama kaya coating?

When I inquired with Reflections Car Care (I think theyre handling the distribution, training, and licensing for Gtechniq here), there are only 3 accredited detailers. One is Optimum Impressions in Sta. Rosa, The other is Sprint Auto Spa along Congressional Ave., QC, and another on in Bacolod.

May ibang detailers pa such as Technical Details along Marcos Highway, and Primo in Pampanga that use it, pero hindi accredited detailer for Gtechniq.

But based on my limited detailing experience (I had all sorts of polishes and foam pads and used a Dewalt random orbit polisher on my cars), they were very thorough. Yun lang infra red curing seemed hurried and an afterthought.
Ang alam ko kasi pag bago ang auto with the most minimum of paint problems, mabilis lang talaga daw i apply. Older cars, and bigger cars yung mas matagal. Maganda yung feedback sa FB though with Optimum Impressions.

Happy naman ako sa service ni Optimum Impressions. The proprietor is a detailing enthusiast/expert.

Yung car in question is yung kay joms na Starex, not sure if it is new or not but kay Optimum, 1 day lang daw while sa iba, 2 days minimum.

Had Cquartz applied on my 6-week old car. Dito lang sa probins. The shop owner confirmed (my own research) that it really takes time to properly do the procedure to achieve optimum result, minimum of 3 days, up to 5 days. Most of the work is preparation, before applying ceramic coat at the end. I told him, fine, take your time, I am not in a hurry, just do your best. The car was released 6 days later. Actually it was ready after day 5 but I was not available to pick up, at the same time nag-uulan eh, so tama lang i-delay ko ang release for more curing time. Nung inuwi ko na ang car, inabutan ng ambon bago nakarating sa bahay. Edi punas ako agad lolz.

This pic was taken at the shop just before I drove home. Behind is their warehouse-like "clean room" where detailing is done. Yes, it is not a real clean-room, but it would suffice for now. There are no windows, dust can only enter thru that huge door and would have to float some 30 meters before reaching the detailing corner at the end.

It cost me 13.5k. Is it worth it? Only time will tell.

The shop have not-so-updated fbpage: IQ car audio, accessories & auto electronics - Home | Facebook

The owner, being a racer, must be car enthusiast himself. It is my first deal with the shop and my impression is they know what they are doing. I think I will be back for more car tech stuff.

SIGH. I don't know tuloy kung tutuloy ko pa sa Optimum Impressions or hindi na..... Yung pics ng mga ginawa kasi nila sa facebook looks really good.
Optimum Impressions is one of my accredited shop for Gtechniq in the Philippines. They have undergone extensive training under me. They have a wide variety of tools and equipment to detail cars to the highest standard set by Gtechniq Philippines. They have 6 personnel including the owner that all have the capability to perform paint correction/prep. They have prepped and coated more than 500 cars already, so i consider them expert in this field already. This is the reason they can finish the whole process in 4 - 6 hours. Imagine 6 detailers doing paint polishing simultaneously. 2 at the front end , 1 doing the roof , 2 doing the sides , 1 at the back. We ( Reflections Car Care and Optimum Impressions ) prepped and coated an SUV inside BMW Alabang yesterday for a special client and the process only took 3 hours to complete.

Gtechniq Philippines is under Reflections Car Care. Reflections Car Care was chosen by Gtechniq UK to be the exclusive distributor of Gtechniq Products here in the Philippines. We're currently focused in the distribution of products and handle training and certification of shops. My turn around time for small vehicle is 1 day. For large vehicles I allocate 2 days ( 1 day for prep/application and let the vehicle cure overnight ).

Akemi (XJAM1) in Ortigas seems to have consumer reviews. Haven't seen any website or international reviews for the product though. Anyone knows anyone who is using it?
