sali ako guys,
every morning clean lang with duster, then wipe gently with clean damp microfibre cloth and instant detailer. every 4th or 5th day, damp MF cloth and spray wax naman. during afternoons, duster nalang to remove dust again. pag meron sticky na dumikit - like bird droppings, etc. - spray the section kaagad with instant detailer then wipe gently with damp MF cloth. during evenings, takip na with car cover.
hindi ko pinatatagal ang dumi, lalo na water spots/marks and something madikit like un nag park ka sa ilalim nang mga trees, pagka uwi cgurado meron small droppings na tumitigas parang clear resin. alis kaagad with instant detailer and damp MF

February 27th, 2010 06:02 PM #14Guys, help please. Sorry kung medyo out of the main topic.
Sa labas lang kasi nakapark yung car namin & every morning nababasa yung one side ng sasakyan kapag nagdidilig yung kapitbahay namin. I'm planning to wax our car soon. What can you suggest para di matanggal yung wax? Makakatulong ba kung mataas yung water beading property nung wax? What wax can you suggest?
Thanks!

you can try un pure carnauba wax nang mothers (which you apply by hand), for ultimate protection and gloss depth. pag press for time, use mothers instant detailer or spray wax (california gold, FX or reflections), this is the easy way to add gloss and protection.
in my case, spray wax and instant detailer i use almost daily. hand applied pure carnauba wax i use monthly.
you will also see sa mga shops meron un cleaner wax. nun newbie ako ito un recommended nang sales rep sa isang shop, magaling daw maglinis and may wax na at the same time, so binili ko and ginamit... un pala meron mild polish ito, na when you use it regularly uubusin nya unti unti un clear coat mo... loko un sales rep (kidding). you don't have to get this muna...
i use mothers products, satisfied naman ako. price nang mothers medyo mura sa meguires, kaya tama lang sa budget. pero will also try meguires products someday...
mabilis ma strip un wax sa auto, lalo na if you use dishwater soap or tide when cleaning your car. dati ginagawa ko ito sa white van namin when i didn't know any better... i've also read pag gumamit ka nang chamois cloth when wiping your car after washing, nag aalis din sya nang wax.
kaya now when washing my car, hose water and microfibre cloth lang gamit ko. then MF cloth ulit when wiping to dry. then re apply the wax, either by hand or spray wax.
hope this helps

February 27th, 2010 10:03 PM #16That helps manny31671!
Where did you buy Mothers?
I'm planning to buy the following, do you know how much is their price:
1. Mothers California Gold car wash
2. Mothers Natural Formula Pure Carnauba wax
3. Mothers Showtime instant detailer
By the way, silver yung sasakyan namin. Effective kaya yung 3-step process wax ng Mothers?
Do you have an idea which is more effective, Mothers or Meguiars?
Thanks!

blue- for singit and wheels (ito palagi madumi)
after wiping, i run my fingers sa body to check kung meron pa nakadikit na hindi ko nakikita (embedded minute deposits, tree sap, etc.). usually wala na, no need to use/buy un clay bar nang mothers...
and before wiping with mothers and damp MF cloth, una padin un cleaning with duster, to remove any small debris sa auto na pwede mag scratch sa clear coat.

btw, aside from keeping dust from my car. problem din sa area namin un mga pusakal (alley cats). pumapasok sila sa ilalim nang auto and into the engine para matulog. just last year pinasok nila van ko, then when i turn on the van the next morning, biglang me nag ingay sa loob nang engine compartment. wasak un pusa pero me sinira (aircon and power steering belt). after selling the van last year, pinasok na din nila twice yun auto ko, andami hair nila naiwan sa engine compartment and me scratch marks un plastic engine cover. fearing me sisirain pa sila, baka un mga wires, i got so desperate i now cover my car like this every night-
fully protected na ang auto every night, car cover to keep off dust and pupu nang mga butiki, and plastic screen to keep off pusakals...
me peace of mind na ako before sleeping
