I'm starting to believe the someone who said this thread can grow 50 pages a month, hehe. Daming nagpopost. Tsikot's detailing thread must be the most active detailing thread.

Sir you could try less aggressive method first in removing swirls let's say a pre-wax cleaner, baka sakaling makuha pa. Kasi sir as you said more than a month pa lang yung Innova nyo so batang-bata pa siya. Kumbaga sayang naman clearcoat if gagamitan nyo agad ng polish. Or use filler waxes like NanoGLOS so fill the swirls temporarily and at the same time give some shine.
Anyways, just my 2 cents.![]()

Thanks so much with the advices, Ms. Madkatz talagangako sayo
.
Actually po I'm doing the 2 bucket method of washing and using 2 wash mitts for the lower and upper part of the car. I think the factor that greatly contributes to the swirls and light scratches is from the dirt/alikabok that it accumulates when parked near SLEX/skyway construction everyday coz my wife works near that place(as in talagang napakadaming dust). Then we will travel home to Sta. Rosa, then I noticed na nawala yung dust pagdating sa house then in the morning pansin na pansin na yung mga light scratches lalo na sa hood pagtinamaan ng araw. Bad trip na nga ako coz kaka NanoGlos plus 915 ko lang nung Sat then ang dami na ulit na light scratches and swirls...Nakakapagod.
Anyway I'll try first yung pre wax cleaner then nanoglos then 915 then nanosliqPagtalagang mabilis pa din bumalik swirlX na. Ska di ko na papagamit kay misis, hehehe.
Thanks again guys for sharing.
This thread is really helpful and one of the best!!!
Anyone knows where to get 6.5" cutting and polishing (and probably some finesse/buffing) pads locally?
hmmm i don't know about autobisyo but my BF has some new stocks, he just got some premium items from the US like Souveran Paste, Liquid Souveran, Swissvax, Race Glaze 55, and others like the pure acrylic glaze thats very much recommended for using with a sealant and some other brands of polymer enhancers and chargers
Hmm now thats bad, if the scratches are caused by the dust friction caused by the high speed air pressure towards the paint then you might need to get an anti static sealant and some duster and tell you're wife to dust it first before driving the car, it takes less than 2 minutes, also another thing i would caution you is that if you are near a construction site and you get atomized cement on your vehicle thats actually fine provided it doesn't rain, once it rains however these cement particles are actually very acidic and are very corrosive towards not only the paint but also to chrome mags and windows, so lets say it rains, once you get home better rinse off the dust using a slightly higher pressure of water and thoroughly rinse it off, if you're a bit lazy and tired already from work to wash the car its actually ok, just be sure to thoroughly rinse the car so you wash away the corrosive elements, of course its a different scenario if its a heavy rain, its actually better if its heavy rains whats bad are slight drizzles and mild showers.
Ohh its not a car, i help by modeling for my friend thats part of a fashion show in SM North The Block by FIP ( Fashion Institute of the Philippines ) thats why i was down and out for the past 2 days not to mention looking horrible with weird make up!! o.O Anyways today was the last day so i get to kick back and relax and back to normal lazy school life
Actually no, Collinite 915 is more durable than Souveran Paste but Souveran looks a little better than 915, if its just for some car show thats not that big we can stick with 915 or something else, but if its a big show we use Souveran Paste or WG Fuzion or Swissvax Mystery, we find these waxes to look best and also has the least smearing and the fastest when removing finger marks
This detailing bug is starting to be very costly... but I LIKE IT![]()
