Hello sorry for the late reply, i think i missed that post, was very busy lately, one thing you can do if the wax is easy to use it to apply it using linear motion not circular this way you can see the lines where the wax residue it, another thing you can do is apply it using circular motions overlapping by 50% and then once you're done with the panel then just go over it again to remove any wax build ups, this way you sort of polish it out already and you also get the huge build ups saving you more wax, another thing you can do it get a strong halogen flood light which we use to check for defects and residues
*watusi: i haven't tried it yet, but it does look like the kind of permanent sealant type, but based in the ingredients on the MSDS sheets its pretty much like KSG, M-seal or Zaino or any acrylic and urethane based product, but i'll do a quick search and check on its reviews and if it looks good i might convince edwin to try it, heck its 100$ for a small bottle so its no joke for testing a product. i'll keep you posted on that
ay silver ba po kay dotnetmatt? i thought polished metal metallic yung sakanya kaya nasabi ko po na mas madali pakinisin yung kanya.. nakita ko po kasi 1.5E variant yung kanya..

My car's paint became a bit dark because of road film. quick questions regarding road film.
- if i don't remove road film from my paint, will it become permanent or will it cause permanent damage?
- For removing road film, aside from QD, will clay be ok?
- If I use clay or QD, will i strip the existing layer of wax or sealant?
- will waxes or sealants offer protection form road film?

Ok its confirmed!
im not buying the Toughguard crap! hahahaha
its the same as PPS Paint Sealant and 5star Paint sealant
its had some great reviews on some sites but mostly by people who doesn't really do any significant detail
its had a reputation of bad advertisement and with those few cases where people who have experience in detailing have used it they didn't really praise the product, bad in advertising because they have a reputation of paying people to post great reviews about it and defend it against attacks which are helplessly gutted out by regular enthusiasts and detailers
heres a scientific test done with it that showede nearly nothing done to the paint as in nothing really significant
http://www.carcaretech.com.tw/pdf/PPS_Ortech_test.pdf
here a sample if you read the whole forum where the sales manager first posted as a tester and then later admitted posting as a independent tester but is actually their sales manager
http://www.autopia.org/forum/car-det...ll-action.html
so case closed after doing a 2 hour research on it, im now convinced its another useless products with really bogus claims, better stick with those sealants that claim to last 1 month but really last more than sealants that claim to last forever but its gone with one wash, hammers down its a bogus product, even its other name 5star stated in their website its NASA technology but eventually can't show any NASA certificate but stated being NASA technology by simply using the same polymers which actually branches out to hundreds of different formulations
check it here
http://www.5starshine.com/
so bottomline its just a PTFE sealant, if its just PTFE sealant then just go for liquid glass legend which uses the same sealant, but the difference between liquid glass and the bogus sealant is that LG Legend requires 25 applications to achieve that result and doesn't make bogus claims, heck even OGE uses the same polymer family as PTFE, OGE's polymers belong to the same family as teflon thats why its very slick
saw this diagram from autogeek... i have some questions as to which product in my shelf would fit each stage...
I'm going through the moderate imperfections flow:
1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Wash
4. Swirl Remover - Swirl X
5. Finishing Polish - Nano Gloss??? ( i know not a polish, but a filler, or pwede ba to to use as glaze?)
6. Glaze - Moms Step 2???
7 Sealant - Carlack NSC and LLS
8. Wax (after 24 hours) Collinite 476s
9. Spray Wax - OCW
10. QD - Sliq or OGE
very doubtful about Steps 5 and 6... what are good products for these steps??? If ever NanoGloss does not fit any of these steps. when is the best time to apply it (in between which step?)
