That's exactly why it's hard to judge "how long" will X product last. The variables differ a lot. If KSG lasts bi-annually for everybody, Big Berts won't be offering it on their quarterly paint protection program to save on costs.

Opti-coat's a great product, don't get me wrong there. However, the question is whether it fits your needs or not. In my case, it doesn't because it's uncompetitive on price-durability versus well-regarded "long life" waxes and sealants.

I agree sir with the price. What caught my attention was the reviews of Opticoat and its supposed to last protection for long periods of time.
Actually pinagpipilian ko din yan if KAIO/KSG combo or try Opticoat. I thought Opticoat is priced at around 25k. 6.8k lang pala, although pricey pa din.

also compare sealant non-DIY application time & cost x2 at the least vs the Opticoat option. With DIY, it's a no brainer but a good gauge before trying DIY is that you are satisfied and beaming at 8 of 10, better yet 10 of 10 of your DIY projects. Else it is very wise to hand it to the pros. Nothing bad about that. Earn from your expertise, pay for other stuff.

I stand corrected, it's at Php6,800.

Still, even if it's at five grand, I wouldn't even recommend Opticoat. It's just too darn expensive for the everyday detailer. Want a easier route? Buy Collinite 845. That bottle will last you for more than 2 years under normal use and it will just cost you under Php1,000.

Yes sir. Tama pala around 25k for Opticoat. Expensive talaga kaso kakatakot DIY, dapat talaga may mapapagpraktisan para maperfect ang application.

As i've said. You can try out wax spot in banawe. It's just around 6-8k. At least mas reasonable na yan compared mo sa 20k if you really want to have opticoat.

Pang praktis, bili ka na lang sa banawe mga surplus na fenders or hood. Shouldn't cost you more than 2k

LOL lang sa 30k. The product itself is selling at $70 in Amazon which translates into 3,150php. Add in a shipping charges and it doesn't even touch the five grand mark.

The syringe alone can cover at least 2 cars. So in the end, you're spending something like 1,600-1,800php per application. Take note that Opticoat 2.0 has been reformulated to cure longer.. hence making post-detail adjustments is easier. If applied too thickly, you have a window time of 20 minutes to level it out via buffing it with a microfiber cloth.

You actually don't need to practice a lot. Basta marunong ka mag-detail, any intermediate level detailer can do it. All you need is a prepped surface free of contaminants. This means you're done with washing, claying, and paint correction via use of compounding or polishing before you apply. As for application, it's much like applying Collinite or KSG. You simply apply lightly then buff.

Most paint correction is done via machine because it's most effective using that. So unless you're experienced in using one, I'd say no. For newbies, I would recommend washing, claying, and waxing but skip the paint correction until you're more experienced.

Baka pre-wax cleaner lang kailangan mo? You can use dawn or IPA also to strip your wax.

If then so, wala naman problema in doing it by hand. Just because it's less effective doesn't mean you can't. After all, a machine is like a super-fast hand circle action
