    hi guys!
Finally got a claying kit! I have questions though.
To what smallest portion can I divide a single clay bar?
Will half of it suffice to clay the whole car?
And for how many times can I use a clay bar before i throw it away?
Btw, it will be the first time I will clay our cars, so I guess there's a thick layer of dirt on them. Thanks!

i use mothers clay bar and here's what i do: i usually cut one bar in halves and use 1/2 and save the other half for later use... i then make ball out of it and press it thin like a burger patty and spray about 2' x 2' panel with the QD spray (showtime) and slide the clay left-right, up-down without any pressure, i just let it slide until it smoothly sliding, then fold it and make a ball again and thin patty-like... when i see the clay becomes rough or it does not smoothly slide, then that's the time you discard it... also when you drop the clay, don't use it anymore as this might scratch the surface of the car... 1 bar of new clay is more than enough for 3 ave size car (sedan), but on my SUV, i always use a new half every 6 months and discard it after... HTH

My Chevy Cruze is getting released this coming week.
Is there anything that I should do after getting it? (Detailing wise?)
should i have it washed right away?
have it washed n waxed waxed within a week of having it?
    or straight to a detailer?
btw the car will be black.

my first suggestion would be to have it sealed with a quality sealant, multiple layers also give more benefits so it would be nice to have a sturdy protection available on the paint, also one of the first thing i would recommend would be to tell the dealership to not wash the car, don't care that much if its dirty as long as you don't have them wash it, dealers are notorious for causing swirls when they wash it for delivery

there are some sellers out there that sells clays separately, most solo clays go for about 1k each but these are those that are better than OTC clays since they last longer and are more effective or you could also get another claykit thats cheap at around 1k per set.
