Wow, parang pang professionals na itong thread hindi for newbies, hehehe.

My baby is about a month old and unfortunately, we dont have a garage kaya exposed siya. So far my routine is to wash weekly and spray a coat of wet wipe and shine. Gusto ko sana siyang ipasok sa Big Berts for paint protection but not familiar with it or if this is recommended sa new cars. Any suggestions?

Is this the Optiguard paint program sa site nila? Ano difference nun sa new car paint protection lang? I am based in Laguna kasi kaya medyo ang layo ng bigberts. Is there any other good detailing shops near the south?

i asked this sa BB before and here's what i got...

optiguard program - eto yung full year with periodic application of optiguard or new paint protection. quarterly ka babalik balik don for the maintenance application. the whole program ata is 5K+ kasi whole year and periodic ang maintenance nito

new paint protection is the same as optiguard except that 1 time application ito. unlike sa optiguard program na quarterly ka babalik balik. pero yung actual procedure is the same procedure for optiguard. cost nito is 1.2K

Sa akin mga 2 weeks yung roof. note that also 1 leave the wax overnight before buffing. ganda ng beading

ako bago din ang vehicle ko nung dinala ko sa BB and mas naging ok pa when i got it from casa. kasi sa totoo lang yung units na release ng casa e most of time (based sa experience ko 3x na) e may overspray. so pag nagpa optiguard ka e may kasamang claying na yun so super kinis ang vehicle mo yun lang lalabas din lahat ng swirls at scratches kung meron so yun ang maganda sa claying makita mo kung nasan ang swirls at scratches so after that you can DIY to or opt for shops to remove them. kasi sa totoo lang di maiwasan magka swirl or scratch due to many reasons i.e. sa carwash lang e makakuha ka na non pag di tama ang procedure 2-bucket carwash...tapos say traffic tapos natapat ka sa daanan or tawiran ng tao na dumadaan sa gilid ng auto mo na tumatama yung bag or relo or singsing or pulseras or even payong or belt pag check mo may minor scratch na rin yun hehehe...

bring it to BB maganda resulta ng work nila...

Sipag mo naman kung weekly waxing at monthly ang sealant. pwede yung weekly waxing
kung spray wax lang like OCW.

oo, mas matagal ang effect kung iwan ko sya ng magdamag bago i-buff. kaso sa roof ko lang ito ginagawa. kahit 1 coat lang ok na.

eto DIY ko sa parking ko since wala aknog covered parking sa bahay kasi next year pa ko makalipat sa new house na may parking...

bumili ako ng beach towels (currently on sale sa uniwide sucat) 4x4 so 16 pcs lahat. pinili ko yung maganda himulmul ng towel yung medyo similar sa MF halos ang texture. then pinatahi ko worth 200 pesos lang so simpleng pinagdugtung dugtong lang. ayun 1.5 weeks ko na ginagamit pangtakip sa ibabaw ng vehicle ko tapos patong ng car cover (freebie ko to sa casa yung waterproof) ayun eversince di na ko nagkaka swirl...or gasgas due to car cover.

nag uulan ulan nowadays pero sa loob tuyo ang auto. ginagawa ko e sa gabi pagdating ko e hose down ng water and using my hand to remove the mud and other dirts. then tuyuin ko ng MF ayun ayos na ayos alang swirls na bago in fact di ko na rin makita yung lumang swirls since i used carlack twins...then bago ko umalis e QD na lang ...

actually kaya monthly ang carlack twins ko at weekly mothers top coat ako kasi ang garahe ko sa house e open meaning walang cover so init ng araw, at ulan pati mga dumi ng ibon at alikabok e salong salo ng auto ko. so in short lahat ng extremities e nasa auto ko na kaya ganon ginagawa ko.

pero now na may dugtong dugtong na towel na ko at car cover on top of the towel e mag iba na ko ng procedure...pag experimentuhan ko muna pero back every other month na ko mag carlack twins tapos tuloy ko lang ang weekly or every other week na lang ang wax ko kasi sa totoo lang e since nung nagkaron ako ng towel nga at car cover e hose down na lang ako ng water para matanggal dumi at putik tapos tuyuin ko lang e maganda pa rin at andon pa rin ang effect ng carlack twins tapos pag alis ko para pumasok sa office e QD na lang...ayos na ayos ganda at kintab at kinis hehehe kahit no cover ang garage ko hehehe

I suggest you bring your new car sa BB kahit paint protection lang. then practice on correct way to apply products. tapos ikaw na ang mag detail.
if you know south woods sa may colegio de san agustin. may shop dun na mabilhan ng good wax/sealant.

parang di nama over kill yung weekly wax.... I used to wax 3 parts of my car weekly.... using FLEET....

+1 ako dito...dati nga weekly ako mag-wax eh ngaun after reading again at tsikot eh parang naging twice or thrice a week pa ako mag-wax using 915..hehe..


comrades, paano ba tatanggapin sa sarili na we have to park in an open parking sa ofc...medyo layo rin kasi nilalakad ko pabalik sa ofc if mag-park ako sa mall...

ang optiguard walang syang step to remove swirls/scratches. yung sa akin lumabas lahat ang swirls pero after a month ako naman ang nag apply ng carlack twins e nawala na swirls pero yung minor scratches meron pa rin konti.

in my case ok naman at di nag iintroduce ng swirls at scratch yung towels then car cover solution ko. pag tyagaan ko muna ito for a year kasi don pa lang ako makalipat sa new house na may covered parking na. for me effective naman. pinag isipan ko yung gantong solution or yung bibili ka sa binondo ng trapal kaso sa trapal e maanggihan pa rin ang auto mo pag umuulan at maalikabukan ka pa rin tapos pag sikat ng araw e at an angle na e maarawan pa rin auto mo unlike ito kulob talaga...

bat kaya ganon. ako kasi di na nga ako nagbababad sa lukewarm water e. ganto procedure ko...

- wash with water (faucet lang)
- laba with soap
- banlaw
- babad sa vinegar mix with water for 30 min. every 15 min turnover ko naman...

so far super lambot lahat ng MF ko...as in parang bago lahat...

Kung waxed naman parati car mo ok lang yan. Sakin 24x7 walang covered parking wala naman issues. Monthly sealant application lang at proper washing technique. Ganyan din ako dati super OC sa car pero kung daily driver yung car mo di talaga maiiwasan na madumihan at magasgasan.
