Medyo matagal kasi working time nun sa paint and dapat kada 1x1 panel lang.

3M Scratch Remover is way stronger than SwirlX. As the name implies.

please make sure the product is still wet while polishing and checking for its effectiveness.

you're right. test in a 1'x1' area using less to more aggressive products. Check the result with the untouched adjacent area 'til you find which product is effective. following up with a less aggressive product is a way to improve upon the previous.

this i say with hesitation cos ignorance is bliss , there are a lot of ways to check for blemishes, different types of light and different viewing angles. it's very subjective if we don't have the proper camera and pics.

you will also discover that a product can polish lighter swirls only to reveal heavier ones that you didn't notice before, hidden/lost in the confusion.

Anyway, my question is about my 2 week-old Innova. I was hoping to get some good maintenance tips from you guys on a good daily routine to be used to keep it in good condition. Maybe a list of materials used for washing, waxing, etc. I do have a problem though. I do not have a garage so my car is exposed to the sun and rain daily. The only option now is to get a car cover, but I've read it can cause light scratches, specially when the cover is taken on/off regularly. Ive read though that some use soft towels on the roof/sides/hood to prevent the scratches caused by the cover.

So basically I was hoping that you can give me some good advise on how to best take care of my car given the condition that I don't have a garage. Its a big investment so I think its best to protect our investment.

    RE: Proper Washing

    Items you need:
A Washmitt (Or a Plushy MF towel like Microtex Plush/Ultra Plush)

Good Lubricity Car Shampoo (Megs, Moms, Microtex, Polyglaze etc.)

    2 Buckets

Now you might be wondering, para saan yung 2 buckets? Bakit dalawa? You'll know later on.

    Step A
To start things off, fill one bucket with water, yung tamang puno lang, wag naman overflowing.

Then on the other bucket, dilute the shampoo in water until you get the right consistency.

HOW TO CHECK IF SHAMPOO HAS THE CORRECT CONSISTENCY:
    1. Dip your hand onto your shampoo solution. So basa na ng shampoo kamay mo. Then

    3. Then squeeze your thumb and index finger, kapag dumulas, tama ang consistency, kapag medyo rough or "sumasabit", mali na ang consistency.

Take note na dapat tama lang yung dulas, di masyadong madulas and di masyadong rough.

Also take note na hindi porket mabula ang shampoo, ok na. You have to check talaga.

Alright moving on. Now that you know the right consistency of the car shampoo to be used, let's move on to the next step.

    Step B
    1. Basain na yung kotse. Rinse it thoroughly para matanggal ang mga loose dirt (or dust the car before rinsing it).
    2. Dip your wash mitt/MF towel into the shampoo bucket, and wring it (pigain). Then start from the topmost part of the car until you reach the half part of your car (let's say until the middle of the doors).
    3. Rinse the shampoo-ed area of the car.
    4. Take your wash mitt/MF towel and dip it into the bucket full of water. Do not dip it until you reach the bottom part of the bucket, basta malubog lang yung wash mitt ayos na. Then wring it again.
    5. Repeat Step 2 on the remaining part of the car. Then repeat Step 3 and 4.

    Step C
Dry with clean MF towel or a Chamois. Just be careful in using a Chamois. Don't drag it too much, it might scratch the paint.

Also be aware that the Chamois, when you drag it onto the paint, has a really big chance of removing your wax. Been there, done that.

Very effective ang swirl X at need mo talagagang i work sa paint para maging effective. Kung malalim na need ng gamitan ng machine yan or mas aggressive na polish like Megs Ultimate Compound or Megs 105 Ultra Cut.

Thanks sir Chikselog! Will do as you suggested. Nagtingin na nga ako sa Ace and saw the Microtex MF. Wala nga lang sila nung shampoo in that size. Yung mga sachets lang meron. But for sure gagawin ko to.

Tanong lang po - do you use air blower? Yung mga ginagamit ng ibang car wash stations to remove excess water from the car before wiping dry?

Also, meron po ba kayong advise with regards to the car cover?

Sir in our detailing sessions we do use the air blower for those hard-to-reach crevices. Advisable gamitin yun.

Car cover? Hmm siguro gamitin nyo lang po siya kung talagang matagal nyong di gagamitin yung car like a week or two lalo na kapag walang bubong ang garahe. And bago lagyan ng cover yung car, be sure na walang dust yung kotse to avoid swirls.

cleaner wax for waxed parts, pre-wax cleaner for untreated parts.

you can wipe either until the product becomes clear or til it's almost dry. btw, stop when the blemish is gone . Wipe with a pressure that is lighter than your arm. If it still remains, give 3-5 repetitions before you give up, or you can opt for a more aggressive product.

A good aerobic exercise if not for the smell. Use a face mask and latex gloves to be safe from the various products applied. avoid if you're pregnant.
