Medyo matagal kasi working time nun sa paint and dapat kada 1x1 panel lang.

3M Scratch Remover is way stronger than SwirlX. As the name implies.

please make sure the product is still wet while polishing and checking for its effectiveness.

you're right. test in a 1'x1' area using less to more aggressive products. Check the result with the untouched adjacent area 'til you find which product is effective. following up with a less aggressive product is a way to improve upon the previous.

this i say with hesitation cos ignorance is bliss , there are a lot of ways to check for blemishes, different types of light and different viewing angles. it's very subjective if we don't have the proper camera and pics.

you will also discover that a product can polish lighter swirls only to reveal heavier ones that you didn't notice before, hidden/lost in the confusion.

First - sorry kung newbie question po. Ang haba ng detailing thread eh, hirap mag back read. And medyo di ko alam kung saan tama i-post yung question so dito na muna. Correct me na lang po pag mali location.

Anyway, my question is about my 2 week-old Innova. I was hoping to get some good maintenance tips from you guys on a good daily routine to be used to keep it in good condition. Maybe a list of materials used for washing, waxing, etc. I do have a problem though. I do not have a garage so my car is exposed to the sun and rain daily. The only option now is to get a car cover, but I've read it can cause light scratches, specially when the cover is taken on/off regularly. Ive read though that some use soft towels on the roof/sides/hood to prevent the scratches caused by the cover.

So basically I was hoping that you can give me some good advise on how to best take care of my car given the condition that I don't have a garage. Its a big investment so I think its best to protect our investment.

before we had the polycarbonate roof installed on our house as well as on my BF's place, both our cars were not covered, but we still won't take a gamble on a car cover, too risky for us, for me if you want to protect your car, just get a quality sealant and wax along with other detailing materials and just maintain it, twice a week washing and weekly waxing will already be enough, i've seen cars thats not covered that still looks like new, it all boils down to taking care of the car regularly

Very effective ang swirl X at need mo talagagang i work sa paint para maging effective.

Sir in our detailing sessions we do use the air blower for those hard-to-reach crevices. Advisable gamitin yun. Pero since ako wala ako nun, hinihipan ko na lang hahaha!

Car cover? Hmm siguro gamitin nyo lang po siya kung talagang matagal nyong di gagamitin yung car like a week or two lalo na kapag walang bubong ang garahe. And bago lagyan ng cover yung car, be sure na walang dust yung kotse to avoid swirls.

sir's ito po ngyari sa car ko..

i am using microtex shampoo...tapos nagkamali ako ng pag hugas...yung hood ko/front portion ay expose na pala sa heat ng sun during washing...ang nangyari may mga white marks na mahirap tanggalin.( ang bilis kasi pina dry ng sun)...ang problema ko ngayun eh pano sya tanggalin...may mga items ba tayo pede gamitin jan or natatanggal lang sya pag mag wa wax na ako ulit?

well as you've mentioned the swirls might be too deep already for swirlX

and you might not be working swirlX to its fullest potential, swirlX really needs moderate pressure to tackle light to moderate swirls and also has to be worked quite long

if you're planning on taking the easy route them use 3m scratch remover first and follow with swirlX to restore clarity but the proper mindset of the detailer should be to conserve the most clear coat that we could so i would say try swirlX with a different approach first

3m scratch remover is really really aggressive its even stronger than most rubbing compounds professionals use
