I use Microtex Sunshield. Siguro once a month pero that's just me.

    mga gurus,

just finished mothers step 1 and 2, top it with Long Life sealant..eto po procedure ko...feel free to comment po baka may ma-improve pa ako..

    1. wash lower panel
    2. apply kerosene sa lower panels
    3. remove kerosen by rinsing it with mr muscle 1:2 dilution
    4. rinse with water the lower panels.
    5. wash and dry the car (kaya lang nakalimutan ko mag-clay)
    6. apply mothers step 1
    7. apply mothers step 2
    9. apply long life sealant
    10. buff the longlife sealant after 1hr

tomorrow monday ako mag-apply ulit ng 2nd coat of long life and then tuesday yung collinite 915...kakapagod...hayz...

next time siguro if ever wala pa ako makina eh...sa detailing shop ko papatira yung ashphalt remove and steps 1 and 2...

saka ganda pala effect ng mothers step 2....lalong umiitim yung tsikot ko with luster shine...kaya parang yoko na nga sana mag-sealant eh...

siguro next time eh pag nag-steps 1 to 3 ako eh...puro mothers na muna kung baga solid product o magkaka-native product sila....kaya lang ano maganda pang steps 3 ng mothers? yung paste nya?

hayz..malas umulan ng malakas eh nasa curing period pa naman yung sealant ko...tas at na-anggean yung tsikot ko good thing nag-cover ako kanina...kaya ni QD ko na lang yung basa sa hood and trunk kahit my cover tumagos parin yun tubig considering angge angge lang yun..

napansin ko lang na mas slick yung sealant ngaun na hinahayaan ko mag-cure unlike before nung nagse-sealant ako na ginagamit ko agad yung tsikot after malagyan ng sealant..

is it the curing time or it's just me..

i'll apply the 2nd coat of sealant at around 9pm (end of 24hr curing time)...then cover it using yung extra car cover ko...which makes me think kung papasok ba ako bukas o hindi para mabantayan yung tsikot kasi baka ma-anggean ulit kung umulan tom..hehe.

it is advisable to do it all in one day or at least all before you use the car or drive it around, the interval between products vary depending on the product

try to use Microtex Sun Shield or Megs Quik Interior for light cleaning, if its seriously cleaning not just dusting and removing films try to use Megs APC

    eto na update.

i was convinced by other member ng SFCP na i big berts ko na lang and last saturday (kahapon) dinala ko don at ayun natanggal ang overspray for 1.2K optiguard 1 time application kasi may kasama na claying yung optiguard nila.

    - carlack 68 new paint - eto yung tulad ng SG

    - mothers reflection wax
    - mothers reflection top coat
    - mothers reflection quick detailer or QD

so eto yung dati kong weekly regimen:
    1. microtex shampoo - using microtex mitt
    2. microtex - microfiber for drying
    3. microtex nano glos - then buff with microtex plush
    4. meguiars carnauba wax - then buff with microtex plush
    5. microtex nanosliq - then buff with microtex plush

i try ko this week ito:
    - microtex shampoo with microtex mitt
    - dry using mb
    - aio ng carlack68
    - sg ng carlack68
    - microtex nano glos -
    - topcoat ng mothers

then mix and match uli ako next week ng iba
    - then nano sliq

then ganon uli next next week
    - mothers reflection wax
    - mothers reflection top coat...

para san ba talaga gamit ng QD if use on its own.

need advice on ano maganda kong mix and match na products...
Hmmm i know i might come as a bad guy here but don't buy too much products, try to consult first or something

AIO and SG that you bought are one of the best decisions you've made in terms of maintaining your paint, but take not that Reflections contains light cleaners that can remove sealants, so with the above mentioned procedure using Top Coat after Sealant is correct but now i don't see where you would use the Advance Car Wax.

Nano Glos also has some cleaners but its not as strong as those in Reflections Advance Car Wax but Reflections still contain light chemical cleaners compared to most waxes out there

Next with NXT, honestly if you're just gonna test it for water beading try to just get NXT if you can find a cheaper deal if you know what i mean, or if you want to try it, try to attend an detail EB and just ask my BF for some so you don't have to buy it, NXT is easily the best beading car wax in the OTC range but its still nowhere near Collinites, so i would recommend that instead of buying NXT that costs 1.6k SRP just add a few more hundreds and get a 915, im sure you won't regret it since IMHO the results you get are far more superior save in terms of ease of use

when removing AIO it should be really really easy that if it becomes hard something is wrong, with LLS/SG thats when you might need to use the QD to remove the sealant without using that much pressure, also this would be another reason why i would recommend you attend another detail EB, why? because people end up using more products than they normally should, i remember my BF last time telling me that someone i think its Matt that did a great job of applying Carlack LLS on his city using just 8ml for the whole car, its just that little that you need for a car that size, if you put too much you might end up having a thick sealant area that might be very hard to remove and when you end up putting more pressure you might end up marring the paint

Qd's are used for light cleaning and removing dusts, it can also be used as a gloss enhancer and a drying aid to lubricate while drying, it is also used for removing products inbetween application, lets say you're moving from polish to finishing to glazing to waxing, some QD's are made for cleaning and prepping the paint for the next step, it actually depends on what qd actually.

so if you ask me, if you want to try different products and compare them first hand, try to attend an EB and maybe try to ask for some products there to avoid buying, i know a lot of people that bought Step 3 only to buy a collinite a few months later and have the step 3 collecting dusts or being used for the wheels, so i would greatly recommend that instead of getting NXT try to collinite, the cheapest is still at 700 pesos only i think

    up with this one

hmm if that is so then mag alternate ako weekly with microtex twins, then another week yung mothers twins naman. so lalabas 2 weeks alternate then back to carlack twins set naman...

ok, the concept of putting on a sealant is just to get a secondary layer of protection primarily and get added shine secondary

now all sealants are advised to be layered with waxes on top of the sealant but most waxes out there also contain cleaners thats used to remove other contaminants from the paint, so if its strong enough to do this its also strong enough to remove the sealant so the point will be moot

now sealants as per what i understand to be BB's recommendation is to be applied every 3months but i would recommend it to be applied every month since its not garaged

now it appears to me that you might be excited to try different products, now if thats the case then you could use any combination every week for that matter, just don't expect the sealant to do its job as the secondary back up protection

(Microtex Nano Glos and Nano Sliq) and ( Reflections Combo ) and NXT are all good waxes enough to give you protection to last a week on the average going rate, so if you are fond of waxing your car then using either Carlack twins, Microtex Combo, Reflections Combo and NXT will already be enough

however if you want to take advantage of the sealant then i would recommend pure waxes that doesn't contain cleaners, of all the waxes above mentioned Microtex Nano Glos has the weakest cleaner so it is basically the most compatible with sealants, among other things pure waxes that are great to be layered on top of a sealant are, TW Platinum Ultra Gloss, Mothers Step 3, Mothers Reflections Top Coat, Megs Step 3, Megs Gold Class, Collinite 476 and 915

So basically if you just want to try different products and don't want to consider all that technical mumbo jumbo, then just wax your car every week with any combo and it will be fine, if you want to make the most out of the sealant then ideally you should put a coat of a pure wax on top of the sealant every week or every other week at the least, with Microtex Nano Glos and Reflections you can still use to for cleaning the paint and removing stacked up sealants, so its still not a waste exactly

my suggestion is put AIO and SG at every first week of the month and follow it up with a pure wax every week before the months last weekend, and on the months last weekend, use either Microtex Nano Glos or Reflections Car Wax and use its cleaners to remove the existing sealant and previous layers of wax so that when you enter the next month you get put on another great layer of sealant where AIO can do its job better

but if you ask me Carlack twins is already more than enough

Mam are the cleaners of NanoGLOS strong enough to remove 476? Because after reading this

...use either Microtex Nano Glos or Reflections Car Wax and use its cleaners to remove the existing sealant and previous layers of wax
I was just wondering kung kaya rin nya tanggalin ang existing coat ng 476? Plan ko kasi, since every 2 weeks ako nagdedetail using 476, is use NanoGLOS on the first week para medyo bawas na yung 476. Advisable po ba? Thanks.

BTW long time no post ah hehe.

thanks a lot mam madkatz. very informative yung mga sinabi mo.

monthly nga siguro ako mag carlack twins then yung weekly ko is pure wax hanap na lang ako based don sa recommendations mo. meron akong meguiars deep crystal carnauba wax -- ok na ba ito for your recommendation na pure wax weekly? based sa reply mo on pure waxes meron akong 2 items na binanggit mo -- microtex nano gloss and reflections top coat. so which is better sa 3 ang gamitin ko weekly as pure waxes -- microtex nano glos, reflections top coat or meguiars deep crystal carnauba wax?

then every last week of the month e mag microtex twins or reflection twins naman ako in preparation for every first week of the month na carlack twins.

by the way mam madkatz, im sked to go to australia and us this coming nov-dec. so don baka makabili na ko ng collonite kung may time to walk around...

FYI, Collinite is not availabe over the counter here in the US. It is still ordered thru online retailers like autogeek.
