tipong Polishing Pads lang.. something like Megs Yellow Pad or anything at this level.

wool pads and severe cutting pads hindi advisable. but these give excellent results on a direct-drive motor (Rotary).

in a nutshell, Rotaries can use some Pads which ROP can't.

Dehadista: Thanks for the advise. Wokidoki. Will stick to the regular polisher pads. In this regards, is the megs yellow polisher pad any different from the 3m black waffle polisher pad? (I think both can be used for polishing and application but not for compounding).

Also, would these polisher/applicators ok to use with a medium abrasive/cleaner such as DACP?

ILD: Yup! Hahanap pa nga ako. Sa ace southmall ko pa nakita, 2 last. Really old stock. Is it really a little smaller than the rubber backing plate of the kp600? I need to search other ace shops soon! Baka may tira pa.

What I really like with the 3m pads is the price! I can buy almost three 3Ms (if only they were available) for the price of 1 Megs. Hehehe.

    Yes to both Q's.

    1) well, both pads are polishing pads...
    2) definitely pwede DACP. work it in.

ganito: for Cutting, Leveling & Compounding, armed with the right CUTTING PAD, a Rotary can do these superbly. for a ROP (variable speed pa dapat), well... it's gonna take you a long time.

depending on your skill level, this can do some serious hazing / damage to your paint.

Wahehehe. Scary. I guess I'll limit myself to the mild abrasives like speed glaze or 3m machine glaze for my car. I'll just use the DACP on really old vehicles (just for learning purposes I guess) and as a plastic polish.

BTW, I did try that! I used the 3m Compound with a polishing bonnet, then DACP with freebie foam applicator then 3m machine glaze on the badly scratched rear light plastic of my Dad's old GSR, it really works! Funny thing is the left rear lights look new now and the right rear lights look old. Hehehe. Will fix that tomorrow.

zechs: Not sure, you'd have to ask vince about it. AFAIK they paint protection system, maybe you can avail that package.
