OK thanks for the info![]()
ild, nope di ako taga south..taga manila lang ako...hehe near UST. pero nalalayuan ako sa megamall..will buy mother's clay na lang if its much better.
ILD: actually I got to work with Autoglym SRP / EGP around a month ago on a silver car. up to now, andun pa din yung pop ng metallic flakes. regular maintenance lang, wash / QD. these products are the "lite" versions of Klasse.
Stupid Question, whats Autoglym SRP / EGP? Where can I buy it?
Actually am interested more in protection now since its the rainy season, I wash my car like 3 times a week tops so I guess a sealant would be more advisable now, then wax twice a month.
Autoglym Super Resin Polish / Extra Gloss Protection..
the autoglym twins.. love this product line. although SRP can be a little bit dusty when it comes to removal but I can live with that because the results are really great.
as for availability, sorry can't give you a definite answer. pa-chamba-chamba lang minsan ako nakakakita dito sa Pilipinas. but I think its easier to find this here sa Pinas compared to Klasse.

i saw some meg's pad sa TV park square one. there was a red and a yellow one. which should i buy for buffing and polishing after i wax the car??
mmm... pag 8" masyadong malaki para sa ROP ko.
zechs: Pwede ba 8" pads sa ROP mo?
actually ako naman ayaw ko ng 6" sa ROP ko (DeWalt). mabilis masira.. hehehe
Megs Yellow Pad is the polishing pad. this pad is more versatile than the red cutting pad of megs. and based on experience, its easier to use the yellow pad for ROP use. I'd rather use the red for Rotary.Originally Posted by zechs

based on my observations, mabilis masira ang pads ng Megs as compared to the other pads.
if you guys are gonna get a clay, get Mother's. It was my first time to use 1 and its really easy to use. You can easily knead the clay. Also, get a full bottle of QD coz you gonna use alot. Naubos ko 1 bottle sa pickup namin even though it was relatively new... dami kase overspray ng rubber coat when I had it undercoated sa Casa. And dealers don't take good care of the cars. usually naka stock lang in an open lot exposed to every imaginable dirt and grime.
guys....
may nakatry na ba ng Eagle One Nano Wax? I'm hesitant to get one because its very expensive. Which would be a better buy? Nanowax or Mothers Reflections?
try using car shampoo mixed with water.. good alternative sa QD. tipid pa...Originally Posted by cardo

Nano Wax gives a really great initial look. although I can't say much about it's dust attraction properties..
But, personally, I'm for Mother's Reflections on this one.. I can use Mother's Top Coat to layer Reflections pa... hehehe dark colored kasi ako eh.. and I like the performance ng Mom's.
hmm.. from memory, this is what I have sa cabinet right now (wax and sealants na). parang collection ko na din ito eh..hehe bisyo na 'to pag nakakakita ako sa States or wherever, bili kagad... kaya kawawa credit card ko eh...
Wax / Sealants:
#26 Yellow Wax
Klasse Twins
Autoglym Twins
Nxt, Booster Spray Wax
FX Synwax
Mom's Reflections & Top Coat, Reflections Spray
Mom's Phase 3 Carnauba
Megs #66 Quik Detailer (3 in 1 nila para sa Pro Line)
Megs Cleaner Wax
Mom's Cleaner Wax
Eagle One Cleaner / Carnauba Wax
S100 (this is really deep, paubos na jar ko, kaya tinitipid ko na hehehe)
Nanowax
Soft99 Fusso
Soft99 Authentic Gold
RainHop
Turtle Wax Emerald Series
yung iba dyan, like the Pro line ng Megs, pwedeng bilihin ng "tinge".. hehehe dyan na napupunta pera ko.
For red / maroon cars, Nanowax really shines. Here sa shop whenever we use Nanowax on red cars, other clients ask "nilagyan ba yan ng cutex?"
But for dust attraction, medyo makapit nga sya sa dust. I also noticed that a QD session will decrease its dust attracting properties substantially.
dehadista, sa dami ng waxes and sealants mo dyan eh pwede ka na atang magtayo ng detailing shop yourself eh! hehe pa-detail ko na lang car ko sa iyo! hahaha joke!
im thinking of talking my bro in getting his not-yet-approved new car (black na city) a bigberts paint protection program...hmmmm....![]()
dehadista.... may EO cleaner wax ka rin pala... ok rin ba?
I only have Megs maroon cleaner wax and the ColorX... mas ok ba yun EO?
Thanks!!!
my car's a test bed for my new products palagi hehehe... from time to time, nagagamit namin ang products sa warehouse namin in Subic. pero most of the time its used for the cars here sa Manilla.Originally Posted by zechs
with regards to the Big Bert's PPP, get it. it's good for the surface of the car. as a matter of fact, it'll do a wonderful job protecting the car lalo na ngayon rainy season pa.
Eagle One has great products and I feel it's very similar to Megs cleaner wax.Originally Posted by cardo
ColorX is somewhat like Klasse AIO, similar but not in the same league.
as compared to EO cleaner wax, hmmm... ColorX, which comes from the consumer line ng Megs, caters to a specific "step" in your detailing process, unlike most cleaner waxes which are a "all-in-one" product. so, if you use colorx (which I think is like a cleaner wax on steroids when it comes to restoring and polishing), make sure to put on your LSP afterwards for maximum protection. I hope this answers your question.![]()
medyo natatawa at naiinis ako whenever I'm working on my car and people would stop by. I get comments like, "matatanggal ang pintura ng auto mo sa kaka-wax mo.." sheesh.
o kaya naglalagay pa lang ako ng glaze then wax, titingnan ako ng neighbor namin, tapos sasabihin na you've been working on that car the whole morning na ah. "wax ka ng wax diyan ha..." *sigh*
