September 13th, 2006 11:35 PM #2252actually if you have your car detailed , washing everyday will be the best maintenance, with regard to waxing you will know you have to wax the car if its not smooth anymore..if will notice a newly waxed car will be very smooth.

September 18th, 2006 12:35 PM #2253Question to the detailing gurus out there... Out of curiousity, I tried using Meguiar's #66 Quick Detailer to remove stubborn dirt on my factory coated wheels. I tried it on a small inconspicuous spot first. It worked. I'm just wondering whether it's safe to continue using this. I know there are products out there specifically for wheel cleaning, but if I can use the same product for different purposes, why not?

yung 66 cleaner wax din kasi.. factory coated yung wheels mo naman eh.
actually, ginagamitan ko din ng sealant yung rims ko. after cleaning them with AIO o kaya clay.

Guys, need your opinion on this one..
Kasi I've read dito na pag kakarepaint lang, bawal lagyan ng wax. Kaso, kung di ko lagyan, baka magka-scratch naman. Ano po kaya ang safe na pwedeng ilagay as a 2nd layer?

I've heard of "over-application" ng wax. nakakasira daw sa paint. pero di ako sigurado kung totoo nga ito. ako nagaaply ako agad pag hindi na smooth ang surface. turtlewax carnauba gamit ko.
Yes wax does NOT protect you from scratches. Wax is used to protect the shine. That's why on older cars, ang wax nilalagay AFTER polish.
