How can I resolve this problem as well? Paano ko siya mababalik sa dati niyang black and shiny look? Armorall didn't work..

salamat ah.
Nakabili pala ako shampoo. Car Plan eco car shampoo. Try ko kung ok. May nakatry na sa inyo nito?
EcoCar Shampoo contains natural biodegradable surfactants, coconut based detergents, natural alcohols derived from sugar beet or maize and extracts of Aloe Vera. The formula is tough on dirt and road grime, providing a streak free finish and showroom shine to car bodywork.
Eco-friendly and the packaging is fully recyclable.
I just got home from the province a few hours ago and I wanted to finish everything before I lay down to rest kaya pinalamig ko lang sandali yung white sedona namin before cleaning it. Nilabas ko sa garahe, malakas ang sikat ng araw so what I did was clean and wash one panel at a time para di matuyo yung soap sa surface.
Lesson learned: Di pala totoong streak-free ang polyglaze carwash pag natuyo kaagad sa surface. Ang daming streaks and waterspots, lalo na sa windshield, ang hirap tanggalin ulit!
This got me thinking: What else happens to your paint if you wash it in the sun aside from streaks and waterspots?
I was thinking, hindi naman siguro totoong masisira ang paint dahil everyday naman natutuyuan ng ulan ang mga sasakyan pag tag-ulan...![]()
Di ba liquid wax and sealant ginagamit syringe to measure kung gaano kadami ipapahid.
Pag paste paano nyo natatancha?
Foam applicator gamit nyo or microfiber?
Maluluto ang paint sir.. Hehehe.. Cardinal rule daw yun na NEVER wash in direct sunlight..Hmm ang effects siguro nun eh reduced clearcoat? Pero syempre super liit lang na layer siguro OR, contaminants that add up in the clearcoat (or the paint itself) causing the paint to lose its gloss..
That's why we must wax from time to time to provide the paint with a sacrificial layer for it to be protected
I remember a priest noong magkausap sila ng grandma ko na nabanggit niya about sa pagdidilig ng halaman..Sa gabi daw dapat ginagawa yun kasi kapag may araw na at nasisinagan yung plant, maluluto yung leaves niya because of the prism created by the water na nasa mga dahon something like that..

just got back from canyon woods and my car is so filthy with all the bird droppings and tree saps it badly needs a detail, but the sad thing is i got fever im now at 39.3 so that means no detailing yet for me =(
*water: tried that shampoo already, its not bad, nice lubricity and its main selling point is that its biodegradable thats basically it. as for the syringe thing, i actually don't use one, what i do is just apply all kinds of waxes and sealants sparingly. As for paste waxes i use foam pad applicators since its a lot easier to spread them using foam pads, and as for hand applying them as long as i see a thin film on the paint i try to spread it even more and i only stop when the foam pad no longer spreads smoothly and when there are no longer any thin films that i can see.
*jmpet626: wow thats some nice shine, and nice combination of cleaner wax + wax and sealant.
*praetor: the damage of water drying on paint would mainly depend on how good the paint condition is, if you still have a lot of clear coat then your car should be able to hold up for quite some time but eventually repeated instances would lead to clear coat failure, as for the damages water can do to the paint, this can also be reduced when you wax your car, regularly putting on some wax or sealant would greatly reduce the chances of drying water to penetrate through the wax or sealant and if done regularly then you have a regular dose of sacrificial layer before the drying water damages your paint, during rainy seasons i would actually recommend using some water beading waxes since using them would mean less water on the paint and the smaller the beads the faster they dry as compared to large water beads. and yeah basically what chickselog said is right. As for me when it comes to washing cars in the sun when i have no choice like when i was in bacolod, what i did was rinse the whole body, wash the body starting with the roof, hood and trunk, rinse again, start with one side of the car and then rinse again and then go to the other side before i rinse again. this was something i learned from meguiars in simex, they actually don't have a roof in their washing area but they compensate it by rinse frequently after a few panels, this way they said that the paint would always remain wet and constant rinsing would lessen the chances for water spots to dry and frequent rinsing also flushes away dust and dirts carried by the wind.
Hope this helps, and thanks for the help BTW it was so useful now i get to post pics here, thanks a lot!
*SG: nice detail on all 3 rides! all that work and painful muscle is well worth those vehicles looks
*chickselog: i wouldn't recommend using elevo water mark remover to those since you're dealing with either paint or plastic for one which is a lot more sensitive, and reason 2 is because most water mark removers are actually strong acids that can eat through water marks so i guess im with you on your hunch with it turning white. For both plastic and paint you could try using some APC and some old toothbrush to scrub it gently to remove whatever white stuff you can remove. As for the wiper i guess thats paint over metal so maybe you could try on some paint cleaners and try in on a small test spot and see if it works, oh yeah maybe you should add more water to your washer reserve to dilute the solution and hopefully make it less stronger. As for the black plastic parts, you could dry cleaning them with APC + MF + Toothbrush and then finish it off with some Moms Naturally Black or Megs Ultimate Trim Detailer. Oh yeah in everything you do always test it on an inconspicuous area first before you apply it to the whole.
Happy new year to everyone!!
Manigong bagong taon madkatz
Ok gagamtin ko muna ito eco shampoo. Next try ko turtle wax platinum shampoo.
Sa mga microfiber cloth pala. Ano difference ng plushy/hairy type versus non-plushy microfiber towels? Kasi meron ako microtex. Ginagamit ko yung plushy type to wash my car.
Pag waxing di ba foam applicator gagamtin tapos wait to dry. Pag dry na ano klase microfiber gamit nyo to remove/buff the wax? (plushy or non-plushy?)
Maraming salamat.
