June 28th, 2010 09:27 PM #5211Procedure is always clay first before applying pre-wax cleaner, there are a lot of pre-wax cleaners out there and most have different levels of cut and functions and effects, there are some just remove old layers of wax and sealants, some are a little more aggressive in the sense that some can remove ultra fine swirls and scratches, after using the pre-wax cleaner you apply a glaze, the moms step 2 glaze has very very mild polishes that just helps improve the gloss nothing more, it can't really do any proper correction on the paint its just for gloss and it contains fillers that can hide swirls temporarily, if you want to remove the scratches and swirls permanently then you should really use a polish, and yes Step 2 is a wipe on wipe off product, but with some people they get better results when the work the product a little bit by going over it for a few more passes. Synwax is also good in terms that for me it provides better protection and the shine lasts longer, synwax has a more reflective and mirror shine as compared to carnauba's but you could always slap on a layer of carnauba on top of synwax, for this you might want to try and cure it for 8 hours, synwax for me is a little different since for me its really not a pure sealant as compared to carlack and other acrylic sealants. if you really want the scratches to go away, you might have to buy 2 products, one is swirlX and one is scratchX, you use swirlx for light swirls and scratches, and scratchx for the deeper ones.

June 28th, 2010 09:30 PM #5212NO!!! hahahaha well theoretically it should be left to dry, but i've always had problems with that wax if i leave it too long to dry, its a lot harder to remove once its dry pretty much like collinite, so what i do is wipe on wipe off, either that or when you're waxing try putting in under the sun for some reason that wax loves heat and becomes a lot easier to remove when its a little hot, but then again its not always a good idea to bake the paint and wax under the sun so my suggestion is just stick with the WOWO, there are really some swirls that can't be removed by Nano Glos, if thats the case then its already a bit too deep.

June 28th, 2010 09:41 PM #5216which wax are you planning on using? gold class carnauba plus looks damn good on blacks but also falls a little short on durability, NXT is great for filling swirls and scratches and you could take advantage of is hyprophobic technology especially nowadays its raining, again this depends on your goals i've only commented on the two most popular waxes from Megs but the #26 high tech yellow wax, the standard 3rd step in the 3step process of meguiars accredited detailers, is also not half bad and looks great on most cars which makes it versatile and it also lasts a little longer than some OTC's

Freakin' rain again. Caused flooding all around Manila.
Cool thing is, though, when I reached for the car to go home, lahat ng tubig bilog bilog hahaha. And it has very few watermarks.
Thank GOD for ONR!It made my cleaning a lot easier. Pang tamad talaga haha. Tires at wheel wells lang di ko nalinis dahil pagod na ko. 9PM na ako nakauwi.
2 hours ang byahe ko ngayon from school to our house dahil sa pesteng baha.
Now my clutch is squeaking again.

I dunno if glass polishing can solve the problem. Thing is tuwing tuloy tuloy lang ang ulan which means laging basa ang windshield, tsaka siya nagjjudder at squeak. Something's telling me na sa wiper ang problema. Ang pagiging silicone ba ng wiper may kinalaman sa pag judder?
