It is just an applicator pad and need not be expensive, I use those sold in the street scrap cotton cloth sewed together like a small plate (4 piece for 5 pesos), use it also for buffing
After I used them, just throw it in the garbage bin.

Yes it is rag. It is from scrap cotton cloth (kamiseta).
Come to think of it, painters also use these when doing paint polishing.

Oops... :blue:
I hope the rags won't cause scratches (light or otherwise) on the paint. Good luck.

Meg's applicator pads cost 80 pesos in hand tools. Its better to use an applicator pad for wax application and mf towel for buffing IMO. Its their intended purpose and its the common practice among pro detailers.

3 years ko ng practice to use kamiseta cotton scrap cloth(rag) as applicator pad, wala pa naman swirl marks ang car ko. I also use MF cloths for wet cleaning/shampoo, drying and polishing but for applicator it is best to use clean pads everytime, pagkatapos gamitin sa wax application yung rag just throw it away.
Swirl mark and scratches usually are from dirty applicator pads and buffing towels and need not tell contaminated reusable pads. Mas mahal ang applicator pads, mas nanghihinayang itapon kahit marumi na at ilang beses ng nilalabahan.
I'm not against using branded applicator pads, but for economic reasons and having a clean applicator pad every time, for me is a good choice.
Kanya-kanya na lang siguro.Last edited by Mile2; November 1st, 2009 at 08:37 PM.
