Personally? Go for it.
The Crosswind's stock tires make braking hazardous anyway... and despite having heavy wheels, the thin tires you can put on those will do wonders for handling and braking.
Acceleration with 22s? Who cares? It's slow already... and I doubt the ride can get any worse.Of course, when my bro put 19's on the family Crosswind, I nearly strangled him. The ride definitely suffered. But on the upside, handling and braking improved, though the tires would rub every now and then, when we went over a large hump or dip. It was worse when there were lots of people in the car.
And this was on the XUV, with its tall ride height. For the regular Crosswind, as pictured, those tires will rub all the time. Your turning radius will also become much larger because you won't be able to go full turn without the wheels hitting your wheel wells.
18"-20" ka na lang, p're... kasya pa, and raise the ride a little to clear the tires.
