Sounds good. Who knows, some of the tsikoteers here might even be interested in teaching.

These design models, in the case of the Philippines and the local backyard auto industry, will revolutionalize the production and image of local AUVs and if all these will be put into production, these will transform our urban and rural transport (PUV segment)landscape!
That is what this motley group of ours is trying to acheive.

Tanong ko lang po, with limited resources (no stamping plant) it is possible to alter (with curves)the looks of boxy local AUVs? Then, is it possible to speed up production in case there will be bulk orders?
That is what the core group (aside from designing) is analyzing right now via re-applied deconstructivism principles and Kanter's bypass model.

Is the design team, which Im hoping, will go to the lego type interchangeable parts especially the body frames and kits?
That has been the design philosophy right from the very start.

Can it be possible to fabricate quality and impressive grills, dashboard and instrument panels (weakness nila) without spending to much?
Of course. Master designers can produce great cost-effective designs. But this is not that to say we are master designers... although I am sure you know what I mean.

My study shows that we Filipinos love to accessorize.
Yup. Personally I would say this is an applied instance of proxemics in an extended manner (though not sure if dprox will agree with me). But our design philosophy strongly supports this habit.

yep, just used some old stuff there as backdrop, para hindi mukhang rushed yung modeling ng Tableta.

hehe thanks, easy lang. Cute nga, the color plays a big part, especially if theyre "candy" ones, if i can recall, mejo i was inspired by a korean picanto(morning) tv add years ago, swarms of picanto in diff colors.

btw, i agree, while sketching this, naisip ko bigla yung apv parang hawig nga sa proportions.

    *foifoi05,

Is it possible to provide dimensions for the Tableta? We would lilke to determine the feasibility of adopting it to the current base chassis that we are designing.

Personally, I strongly believe if it is executed properly, we have a potential icon in the making. Hoping it won't lose its essence when we adopt it to the chassis.

BTW, if ever, don't post the dimensions here. Kindly pm them to dprox or OyiL or drey. Thanks.

i did the model tanchahan lang po. Hindi naman sa tinatamad but i think you guys, especially the technical ones can provide much better the dimensions for it, infact ang daming mali niyan, i dont think the engine can fit . I think the design is flexible enough for it to adjust on the platform being developed as long as the "chamfered oval" side is there.

i think your design really looks alike to those shuttle buses thats goes around MOA to ferry mallers from one section to another..

If you look at it closely, shorten the shuttle buses and bit, the only missing on those shuttle buses is the doors and windows.

Suggestion: branch it out from the Industrial Design faculty of St. Benilde, and tie it up with the IT faculty of DLSCanlubang. Mga "bro" naman yang mga campuses na yan, e.
I hope the industrial design profs from MIT-Malayan and those of UST are reading these threads.

Next EB natin siguro after the meeting with MVPMAP. Let's help them muna, kasi bugbog sarado sila dun sa design nung PhUV nila, e. They have asked the Tsikot Design Roundtable for a meeting next week.

Really? Hmmm. No wonder they look vaguely familiar.

*Drey, perhaps if you have time, when you are over at MOA can you take pictures of the shuttle buses and post them here for comparison?

Dilbert! That's it! I was trying to recall the name of that cartoon strip.

Yup, the Tableta seems to fit right in.

you mean that elongated golf cart???

the way i 3d modeled the roofline i guess

anyway, surprisingly were getting a lil serious with the tableta ,which is a good thing shempre, but i was thinking/expecting the tsikot phuv to be cooler than this, to be ala scion or honda element similar to Oyil's concepts. Actually I posted this first sa MVPMAV thread as a re-shelling proposal to their phuv(see proportions a bit similar to theirs) but transfered here by the mod.

In my opinion, your Tableta makes the PhUV look more classier... Moreover, I think it looks like it has something to do with our automotive industry like it can draw history to the Philippines.

Is that similar to the MOA shuttle buses?

I am not sure myself. I believe it was Mojo who mentioned the shuttle buses. At any rate, drey has agreed to take photos and post them here.

Alin man sa MVPMAP PhUV, Tsikot PHUV ang maiproduce dito, this PHUV project has already created a history---a history in the making--- especially if we talk about Philippine Development Experience.

After the jeepney, sakbayan, carter/castro AUV, atendido's parejo, mdjeepstars and the FMC anfra, this is the most recent and latest, most serious attempt by local manufacturers to create a new segment in in the foreign dominated local motor industry.

We, in the academe, are hoping that the PHUV project will succeed. And whoever will be the architects of the renaissance of a TRULY LOCAL MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY---THAT DEFINITELY CATERS TO THE MASA (THE MAJORITY) AS WELL AS TO THE GROWING SOPHISTICATED (WORLD CLASS QUALITY) FILIPINO TASTES----movers of Tsikot PHUV and the commited members of MVPMAP (hopefully, sumama DREAMCO, FMC-ANFRA, SARAO, MALAGUENA, MDJEEPSTAR, Columbian Motors, NOrkis, the Filipino partners of Japanese, Korean and US auto companies in the Philippines)------have already curved a place in the annals of Philippine motor history--side by side with Sarao and FMC.

Go tsikot, revolutionalize the Philippine AUV and PUJ!

    *jpdm,

With all due respect, I'd much rather reach (not wait) for the day when true PhUVs will be commonplace in our roads across the country. Only then can we really say that we (as part of a conceivably bigger group) have made history and not become yet another mere footnote in the annals of Philippine motor history.

    architect,

The PHUV will not become a footnote, as long as there are people who believe in it. Count me as one.

This PHUV indeed stirred the imagination of many people--in fact, created an attainable hope--that the Filipinos can finally see a more cleaner environment with euro compliant, better looking PUV/PUJ (ok, baka may troll na sumulpot na naman, di yung prototype--si tableta!) and reduce maintenance costs for drivers and operators.

At the same time, ordinary people can finally own a much cheaper (CAMPI manufactured models--700k-2million)brand new and quality utilitarian vehicle---to replace their dilapidated or outdated vehicles with surplus parts.

Admittedly, the prototype was a letdown, and all of us including me reacted like spurned lovers. The initial overwhelming negative comments I think are expected but the incessant, repetitious, below the belt--ad nauseum--destructive comments-- that call for the shelving of the PHUV project as a whole has forced me to launch a blistering defense of the PHUV project. I was even mistaken as doing PR for the MVPMAP.

its an advocacy--- for we (especially the tsikot phuv team and mvpmap) might save thousands of jobs.

    Go tableta!Go chok (ni DPROX)!
